Yeah me too.

I think there was an argument for some 10-9 KD rounds - Anaguachi seemed to be winning the 10th and another before the KD.

I guess 4xKD wins you a dec, but I'd have preferred a draw or SD than UD.
Great stuff whatever, but I'd like to have seen them share the 10m Yen - Anaguchi beat him up and outclassed him apart from the Four KDs.

two scores of 94-92.............if anaguchi had stayed up and won the final round he woulda won the fight even being down 3x.

ya anaguchi responded well. but that was kinda the weird thing about the kds. never did he really look that hurt. he just kinda crumpled like he needed a breather. as tough as he was, he wasnt as tough as tsutsumi and it cost him the w

tapales was surprisingly crafty and lasted into the 10th before being kod. dropped once earlier in the fight too. tapales had small pockets of success but one sided fight overall, just too much sharpness and fire power from inoue. tapales was pretty spooked and was reluctant to get out of his southpaw shell

hope nery is next.

CompuBox Punch Stats

Image

Naoya Inoue built up a 24-5 power punches landed advantage over the first three rounds. Marlon Tapales came alive in the fourth round, where he threw 53 punches, his fight high. Unfortunately for him, Inoue knocked him down at the end of the round.

Despite the knockdown, Tapales’ resurgence continued. His timely counterpunching limited Inoue to single digits in landed punches in rounds seven and eight after Inoue had strung together five consecutive rounds of double digit lands.

Tapales’ success created more openings for Inoue, who landed 23% of his jabs and 43% of his power punches, compared to 10% and 20% for Tapales. 33% of Inoue’s landed power punches were body punches. The end for Tapales came at 1:02 of the tenth round, when Inoue knocked him down and out.

kazuki anaguchi has undergone surgery for a brain bleed

he was dropped 4x in his loss to seiya tsutsumi, but won all 6 other rounds on two of the cards. it was an amazing fight. after the bout he struggled to stand and was obviously not in good shape

The Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) announced on the 2nd that Kazuki Anaguchi (Mashin), who suffered a right subdural hematoma during the Japanese bantamweight title match on December 26 last year and was undergoing treatment in the hospital, passed away at 5:38 p.m. on the same day. It was announced that. He is 23 years old. This match had just been selected as the best match of the year (other than world matches) at the annual award selection meeting on the same day.

In this match, Mr. Anaguchi challenged fellow champion Seiya Tsutsumi (28) of Kakuebi Gems, and although he was knocked down four times in total, he showed good performance in most of the other rounds, winning the support of the judges. However, he lost consciousness in the waiting room after the match. He was taken to the hospital by a waiting ambulance and underwent emergency surgery, and his condition stabilized for a time, but he never regained consciousness until the end. On this day, after being selected as the best game of the year, Tsutsumi posted on SNS, ``The evaluation is only possible when you have an opponent. Someday, I want to look back on this game and talk about it with you. I'm always praying that Anaguchi will wake up.''
