Just a few corrections on some of your results.
Sept 2 - Minimum weight Julio Buitrago beat Pedro Ramos and not vice versa. I was at the fights. The press mistakenly reported that Ramos, a far inferior fighter with an awfull record, had won.
Sept 2 - Minimum weight fighter Eddy Castro fought and won the Nicaraguan Minimum Weight title.
Sept 2 - Featherweight fighter Mathias Garcia knocked out with a picture prefect uppercut fighter Marlon Aguilar to win the Nicaraguan National Featherweight title.
Sept 1 - Fighter Alvaro Perez won a decision over fighter Sergio Gomez to capture the 122 WBA fedecentro title. The fight had much controversy as Alvaro Perez bit Sergio Gomez in the fifth round and should have been disqualified. Alvaro has previously been disqualified for fighting after the bell against Carlos Rivas and was almost disqualified again for the same reason while fighting for a national championship against William Gonzalez. The Nicaraguan boxing comission will review this fight on tuesday Sept 5th as well as review the behaviour of Mr. Perez.
Superfeatherweight Nicaraguan boxer Ronny Mcfield is the current 130 pound National Champ. He won the title against Jose Velazquez and defended it later against Carlos Mairena.
Sept 2 - Fighter Rene Gonzalez won a dubious and controversial decision over Gonzalo Munguia. Many people in the gym saw Rene loose. The boxing comision is expecting a formal complaint form Gonzalez manager this week.

Thanks for the information. I believe what you say about the Buitrago result, but we would probably need to see an official result to change the reported result from the newspapers. Unfortunately, I don't think we have any editors getting official results in Nicaragua right now. If you are able to get an official result and fax it to us, we could make the change right away.
Any word yet on the appeal of the Perez-Gomez fight?
Thanks again.

Neither La Prensa or El Nuevo Diario reported the decision or titles U are claiming above.sconradojr wrote:Just a few corrections on some of your results.

The only way the information will be changed on BoxRec is by asking the Conibop to send
their official results of the show which includes all the officials and boxers (including their
weights) that participated.
So far the Nica commission promised to cooperate with BoxRec, but have not done so.
I did find proof of Ronny Mcfield winning the title and made the correction.sconradojr wrote: Sept 1 - Fighter Alvaro Perez won a decision over fighter Sergio Gomez to capture the 122 WBA fedecentro title. But no 130 pound National championship was mention in Mcfield vs Carlos
Mairena as both weighed 131 for that fight.
