Who would've won had they faced each other in 1995, when McCall briefly held the WBC title?
Both had two fights this year and went 1-1. Holyfield beat Mercer and lost to Bowe (3rd fight), McCall decisioned Holmes and lost to Bruno.

Re: Evander Holyfield vs Oliver McCall
Holyfield wins for sure, due to vastly superior athleticism and ring skills. His durability, power, and combination punching are factors as well. Overall, Evander was too versatile to lose to McCall.
It definitely goes the distance, as Oliver was much too durable to get KO'd. Another reason this goes the full route is that Holyfield wouldn't expose himself to danger. He'd avoid infighting or trading shots given that Oliver had brutal power.
I don't imagine Holyfield boxing from long-range, or hitting and running like a slick boxer. But I do envision him staying sufficiently far away to avoid being hit, while remaining within punching range to connect with blazing combinations.
Final scores are probably something like 8-4, 9-3, or even 10-2.
Oliver's is if he lands one of his blistering power shots. But as I explained earlier, that wouldn't happen against Holyfield.
One final interesting factor is Oliver's left-jab. Not many people realize that Ollie could jab with the best of them. But Holyfield, a great ring tactician, would have neutralized that punch.

Holyfield's the obvious winner here.
For the sake of the fans you'd almost hope it was an off night for Holyfield and McCall's best night just for the possibility of seeing a good, close fight. If both are on their A game, then Holyfield wins comfortably.

Holyfield would take a close decision after the Real Deal exchanging punches with the Atomic Bull with sharp counterpunches.

At his very best, The Real Deal, Evander Holyfield beats Oliver McCall every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Holyfield would have to watch his famous
"Accidental" head button.
He would hurt himself head butting the head of McCall
