Calzaghe-Bika

Post by Autobarn »

I have a feeling that Bika will surprise people and give one hell of a fight. If I turn out to be wrong, fair enough.

Can anyone give me examples of fights where a well known champion took on an unknown challenger & was given a real fight. Where the unknown challenger wasn't even rated by the sanctioning bodies & the press.

Calzaghe will win easily. I've seen Bika v Beyer and lets be honest it was 4 rounds against a guy who always starts slow, and lets be honest is on the way down. Calzaghe will beat him with ease.

Um, Apollo Creed-Rocky Balboa? Calzaghe should win by a canter.

I also saw the Bika - Beyer fight and felt he was on top against the German. If Joe struggles with the weight and starts believing the hype then this one could get interesting.

Keith Mullings against Raul Marquez. Came in as a late sub and busted him up pretty bad. Didn't score the fight at the time, but felt that Mullings had done enough to get the nod.

Steve Robinson vs John Davidson.

Nigel Benn vs Lou Gent

Zab Judah vs Carlos Baldomir (although Baldomir was officially highly ranked, not really considered so independently).

Vivien Harris vs Carlos Maussa

Injin Chi vs Koshimoto

dunno, but Morales already beaten Acero Sanchez, a man who'd fought on just about level terms with Zaragoza over 2 fights
