Former two-time World Bantamweight and WBA and WBC World Featherweight Champion, the great Ruben Olivares of Mexico is 77 years old today.

Olivares was a terrific knockout artist who rise to fame came in the era of the great Bantamweight fighters of the late 60s and 70s decade. He brought 4 world titles to Mexico cementing his place as a true all time top 100 pound per pound great boxer.

Probably and arguably Mexico's most beloved fighter, he was also one of the greatest bantamweight boxers of all-time.
