Tommy Burns vs. Obie Walker

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Heavyweight Bout

What if Obie Walker of the 1930s went back in time and fought the man who gave Jack Johnson an opportunity to fight for the World Heavyweight Title in Tommy Burns? Both were small, but Obie stood 2 inches taller and Burns had the two inches reach advantages. Both had power in both fists, but Obie had an iron chin and he was the bigger man than Burns by 30 to 50 lbs weight difference. Imo, Walker would absorb the powerpunches from Burns and withstand it, then he would work Burns on the body to wear him down, then he put Burns out in 10 rounds with either a big left hook or right hand. What do you guys think and who do you got?

I think it'd go the distance.

"Tommy Burns", aka-"Noah Brusso" was a Tank of a 5'7 Boxer.

I don't remember the name "Obie Walker".

I will look him up. He sounds like an interesting Boxer.

5'9 and 220-230..? That sounds Fat, or Muscle-Bound.

Wouldn't he start getting too arm weary by the 10th round..?
