Bivol wasn’t even born in Russia.
I’m pretty sure he was involved in Canelo/Bivol.
No doubt he would have created a daft belt.

I dont understand, i thought both were Russian and then i just checked. Bivol ain't even russian he's Kyrgyzstani and bert is Russian. Is this to try force bivol to rematch canelo? Fuk the wbc belt in the bin and just have the 2 top boys fight
Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | Undisputed - Who wins?
Sulaiman is a b1tch.
Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | Undisputed - Who wins?
Is it possible for the WBC to not be involved in any fight?
Ever.
Ever.
Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | Undisputed - Who wins?

Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | Undisputed - Who wins?

Too bad, Beterbiev will be 39 at that point.
I'm still gonna watch it though.
For undisputed or not, if Sulaiman wanna act like a c*nt again.

‘Not Even Close’: Bob Arum Talks Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol Negotiations
In his interview with Boxing Social, Arum spoke about the blood and urine samples provided by Beterbiev on December 6, which came back atypical. He also discussed Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall negotiations. Arum was also asked about negotiations for Beterbiev vs. Bivol.
When asked about a potential fight between the two, Arum said: “I haven’t talked to Beterbiev about that fight.” He continued: “I think he’s willing to do it. I haven’t talked to His Excellency.” When asked if the fight was final Arum exclaimed: “Nothing even talked about on our side.” When asked about the reports of a done deal, he was forthright in his response: “Not even close.”
The CEO of Top Rank went on to explain he felt the fight would “probably” happen, but he needed to talk to His Excellency and Beterbiev‘s team to discuss terms. He also spoke about not wanting to distract the Russian-born fighter from his fight against Smith.

We shall see today if Beterbiev is still in his prime. If he is, he stops Bivol.

I hope Saudis battle WBC on this…
“If you don’t sanction Bivol we won’t pay for any fight involving the wbc and will encourage all fighters to drop the wbc title if they want to be involved in Saudi boxing” type threats.

Arum on Beterbiev-Bivol: "It's Not Done Yet, But Absolutely We Want To Do It"
“It’s not done yet. But absolutely we want to do it. I’ll be talking to my friend His Excellency Turki Alalshikh. I know he wants to do it, but Ramadan is coming. So, about three months after the end Ramadan we’ll be ready to fight Dmitry Bivol, probably in Riyadh,” Arum said.

The WBC might be completely crooked but they're not stupid.
They know which way the wind is blowing and they're not going to risk pissing against it too hard.
They understand this fight is happening and neither fighter could care less about them.
All they're fighting for, as per usual, is their parasitic cut.
What good do they actually do for the fans of boxing?
I voted for Beterbiev on points but it could easily be the other way.
This is a real 50/50 fight.

Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | Undisputed - Who wins?
Speaking on TalkSPORT’s The Verdict, George Groves praised both fighters and their respective styles.
“Beterbiev, once he lands, he has an affect. The question would be can he land on Bivol and does it have the same affect with everyone else he’s boxed? Bivol was exceptional against Canelo, when he gets his game-plan set up and he sticks to it. He boxed exquisitely well, but it’s a safety first approach from Bivol and you realise he hasn’t stopped anyone in a long time. years and years. He [beat] Lyndon Arthur out in Saudi recently, but I thought he would do a bit more of a demolition job on him. And if you put Lyndon Arthur in with Beterbiev, you’d think he’d just walk through him.”
The former super-middleweight world champion leans towards Beterbiev in the clash of relentless and powerful pressure against precision and movement.
“You have to have a really good jab to establish, create and maintain that distance with Beterbiev. If you don’t have that jab that keeps him busy, honest and at long range then he will eventually just march you back. Everytime Smith had his back on the ropes he was in severe danger … Bivol is much more comfortable boxing off the ropes, but I think Beterbiev’s the favourite. Maybe there’s recency bias there … I probably go with Beterbiev win, but I wouldn’t be confident on it.”

Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | Undisputed - Who wins?
You can't compare Bivol with Smith, or anyone that Beterbiev has faced so far.
Bivol is probably the best technical boxer in the world right now.
Talk about text book...
On the other hand, Beterbiev is also an accomplished technician when he wants to be.
He seems to have quite a bit in common with GGG. Both were late to the pro scene, both were outsiders who got to the top by taking decisions out of the hands of potentially corrupt judges and referees.
Of course, nowadays that Beterbiev has 'Grampa' Bob behind him, he will well be the A side against Bivol.
Vadim Kornilov, Bivol's manager will understand this, and also the fact that Beterbiev is a strict Muslim might also help him in Saudi.
But when you're fighting for a career high purse, these things tend to become somewhat secondary in nature.

Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol | Undisputed - Who wins?
why people even care about these straps anymore? isn't boxing about who is fighting who ?
Bivol has very good legs and speed which would trouble Arthur. I think Bivol being the better boxer would have better chances to win this fight.
