Featherweight honours are up for grabs
Nick Ball has been climbing the rankings in an impressive manner recently and he'll finally get his world title shot later this year.
As part of the huge Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou bill, Ball will challenge Rey Vargas for the WBC featherweight title.

Some card that now mate. Happy with all them fights.
No surprises from me, blind allegiance to Scouse Power
WAR BALL
It’s early in his career and he’d be one of the youngest champs in the world I think? My head says he’s not ready but I’ll be watching and cheering

Me too. I think this be a big breakout fight for Ball, such a good fighter to watch.
Imagine if Parker beats Zhang!!

Parker is inconsistent isn’t he, Zhang isn’t. On balance and with hindsight I imagine Zhang would’ve battered Wilder on that weekend before Christmas.
Parker probably wouldn’t fight Fury now they’re bezzos, don’t see an appetite for AJII either. Parker Usyk? Hrgovic?
I’d watch ZZZ fight anyone to be fair

He sure is.
Regarding Zhang, I don't know why Cillit Bang have not sponsored him, would be brilliant.

PaddyPower have opened this fight at Vargas 2.1 vs Ball 1.73
Surprised me that.

Ball obviously hits very hard but I doubt that Vargas hasn’t seen that before.

I am not a hardcore fan of Nick Ball, but I very much dislike the idea of "beaten reigning champions". Vargas have lost his last bout. He is not a champion for me, not any more.
If a champion from weight division A wants to be a champion in the division B, good for him. But if he get beaten in the division B, he should be stripped of his A's belts.

Good point about Ball, and he can be a tad predictable, especially when switching.
He’s a little unit at the weight and absolutely has the kind of style nd strength to make up for a lack of head movement.
I think the odds will be very different come fight night

Maths isn’t me strong point but it’s Vargas 2.1 and Ball 1.73 now which I think means they haven’t moved.
I think Vargas will be fave on the Vegas Odds on the day. But it’s gonna be an interesting fight

Ball decision for me, Vargas has seen enough to not get knocked out and Ball isn't a one hitter quitter, Ball's activity will be the winner, Vargas beyond his peak now.

Imo this is spot on, short odds on this playing out.

Could be an awful watch this.
Rey vargas is hard work to watch, boring. Be huge next to ball, height wise. Listed as 5'7. Sure he's taller than that.
Could be one of them where ball wins it, not looking great but just on activity.

Looking forward to it. I too think it will be Ball's breakout fight and it seems like he will go into a big one in the 5v5 all being well if he wins.
I think he will win on activity. Vargas scraped through against Magsayo and was pretty poor against Foster. I think Ball will smother him
