Kelly Pavlik vs Arthur Abraham (2008)

Back in 2008, when both were fellow MW titlists, that fight was actively discussed. But never materialized...

I always thought Pavlik would've been a nightmarish style for Abraham. But I remember a lot of people were high on Abraham's chances back then. Especially, after Pavlik lost to B-Hop.

Thoughts on the match-up?

I agree. I think, Pavlik was too busy for Abraham. Kelly was also taller and longer. And no matter how tight was Abraham's high guard - it's s one thing to take Elvin Ayala's punches on the gloves/arms. Getting punched systematically by Pavlik's combos will make your hands sore.
