why convictions is part of this is beyond me. not sure how that is at all relevant to an evaluation of their boxing careers (not to mention some much loved boxers have deep crim records). and that's not how it works either, plenty of things get hushed up for reasons other than the innocence of the accused party. im very curious how one chokes a prostitute out of 'misunderstanding' lol
you keep mentioning the number of defenses and hardly touch on specific opponents, and that is kinda reinforcing my point. it's all pretty much all quantity over quality with wilder.
and again, i wasnt even saying chisora is better, but comparing common opponents they arent worlds apart.
So does Joe Parker?

You love Porky though, who has got mutiple convictions, spent years in prison and is a known scumbag. You internet guys manSeanBrennan wrote: ↑22 Jan 2024, 20:31send the link of a criminal conviction proving this and I will accede and apologise. Not being a smart arse.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑22 Jan 2024, 20:22 not sure why either matters at all when discussing them as boxers? but yes wilder did strangle a prostitute since you brought up that stuff![]()
ya, i know wilder has a bunch of wins and chisora has lots of losses, that wasnt really the point.....

Perennial sex offender?SeanBrennan wrote: ↑22 Jan 2024, 20:12Wilder won a WBC titlemargaret thatcher wrote: ↑22 Jan 2024, 20:07nobody can claim what with any certainty? that wilder's record is built on quantity rather than quality? please tell me about all these top guys wilder beat......SeanBrennan wrote: ↑22 Jan 2024, 20:05
nobody can say that with any certainty. And claiming Dereck would beat people is mythical, he has been beaten 13 times and utterly sparked 4 times, and allowed himself to quit against Fury. Wilder never did so.
Levels.
chisora easily ko'd wilder challenger szpilka, ud's wilder challenger gerry washington, ko'd wilder opponent and trainer malik scott, and clowned wilder opponent rob helenius in a robbery of the year. these fights actually happened and chisora was the better man.
who are these wilder victims that would show the 'levels'
Chisora lost both of his attempts.
One is a winner, one a perennial loser. The latter is also a convicted sex offender. Wilder for me.

Whoever you prefer, I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they end up making Wilder - Chisora.
Re: So does Joe Parker?
Wasn’t an issue for Wilder during his prime that his team couldn’t offer what Joshua’s team could because he wasn’t as big of a draw?
When Joshua - Parker got made Wilder’s team were also making offers & trying to get that fight but couldn’t compete financially.
I also don’t buy that he was avoiding opponents given he was willing to go to Russia to face Povetkin & the fight was only called off at late notice with him in the UK with all his team ready to go to Moscow.
I just think it was pathetic on his teams part & Matchroom’s part that the fight never happened when they were in their prime & both title holders. It should’ve been easy to make with them been in different countries & should’ve been a straight forward deal with PPV on Sky in this country & PPV on showtime in the States.
