Nobody is too old (ok, at 64 maybe I am) to win an alphabet belt is a sport where random, well-managed fighters can get shots for “vacant” belts against opponents of questionable merit in front of a home crowd

I don't think he's too old, but I think he might not be good enough.

OK, he may be able to pick up one of the 3 million or so WBA 'world' titles that exist in their parallel universe, or the IBX might come into existence and he can win one of theirs against a hand car washer or something, but he isn't beating any elite fighters in his division.
