Tysons , condition

Post by coneye »

So we don't clog up the other thread going off track , thought i'd ask people here , WONDERING WHAT SORT OF CONDITION Fury will be in , got me thinking , given you were training Fury to fight Usky what sort of condition would you bring him into the fight providing he done has you told him too that is

Thinking about it would you bring him in real heavy , hoping to lean , maul , wrestle your way to a win , would you bring him in the lightest he's ever been , hoping to outbox Usyk with movement and skills , what would you do .

Personally . i would say too heavy he's gonna be slow ponderous , and get stopped , Usyk when grabbed will not wrestle he'll just relax the body and let the ref break it , to light he may well be faster , but never has mobile has Usyk .

I myself would concentrate on hard hard work in the gym developing muscle and strenght , yet keeping weight of , suprising Usyk with agility that Tyson used to have but has'nt shown for a while , strenght that will come natural to the big fella , and developing very hurtful punches especielly to the body , in fact the body would be where i would have Tyson concentrating on 100%, your thoughts

The gloves are off video has leaked on youtube and he looks much much leaner.

We're probably talking some state of the art 💉💉

I’m not sure it makes much difference. Usyk is so hard to catch clean, and his own punches are far superior in quality.

I guess you could argue for Fury coming in at the higher end of his weight range in order to have some sort of advantage. I hope he doesn’t though, I’d like to see an actual boxing match, not a mess.

The boar meat - yeah I’m not sure he can be in Saudi as they are pretty strict. Hasn’t he been there for weeks?

If he does come in lean and fit looking (for him) you have to wonder how much he could leave in the camp. Cannot be easy for a 35 year old, 6ft 7 plus fat lad to shred the pounds. Roadwork must be torture.

He could easily look the part but be very depleted late on. Then again he's a bit of a one off so fcuk knows.

As for the drugs. Assume they are all innocent unless they fail the test, assume they are all guilty unless they fail the test. Either way its conjecture, we dont know what him or Usyk are up to. (I'm talking this fight, well aware tysons a previous proven drug cheat, believe Usyks never failed a test)

If anyone missed it, I started a thread to guess his weight.

I'd bring him in light (for Fury). No matter how light he is, he's still going to be too big and heavy for Usyk if he's going to use a game plan that relies on his size. He's going to need to be as light on his feet with good agility to try and match Usyk's speed anyway. Coming in heavy makes him a slow target that will only be able to utilise the same tactic as a lighter Fury.

I personally think people are a bit delusional thinking he’s going to show up in much better shape than he did against Ngannou 3 MONTHS AGO! He’s probably not on Mr Olympia sized PED doses. There’s probably quite a few physiological limiters on how much a 35 year old fat lad can improve his cardio, strength and body fat levels in such a short time frame, which of course included Christmas and a beach holiday!!

I think he will be a big fat wobbly mess, so leaner than he has been for a long time.
His weight will be incidental, he is a very large heavyweight so being fit enough to do a good pace for 12 is all that matters and he will weigh whatever he weighs.

Fury's previous weight since his return from the PED ban:
10/23 Ngannou 278
12/22 Chisora III 269
04/22 Whyte 265
10/21 Wilder III 277
02/22 Wilder II 273
09/19 Wallin 255
12/18 Wilder I 257
08/18 Pianeta 258
06/18 Seferi 276

He was 247 against Klitschko and generally weighed between 245 and 265 prior to the time off.

different countries (and at conflict too) but same region - Iran is the source of a massive amount of gear imported into the UK. They have lots of pharmas/labs for anabolics.

So he's the first boxer ever that can come fat and out of shape and that make absolutely no difference to his performance?

Buster Douglas and Riddick Bowe would disagree.

My thoughts are is that Fury will have done little more than dieted and actually trained minimally. He will likely have juiced to the gills early on before fight was officially and come fight time he will be significantly lighter than expected with arm, legs and chest devoid of any muscle.

He will try and impose himself early on and be catching counters each time he attempts to close distance. As he gets more tired he will foul more .. until the referee disqualifies him .. or he retires with a phantom injury.

He and his couple of remaining fans will of course claim he was winning until the end.

the thing is with Tyson all these scenarios are possible. He could come in and surprise us, or come in all lardy. You never know with Tyson. He's never been ripped of course.

I know everyones is different but it amazes me how little muscle and definition Fury has considering he's been boxing and training since he was a kid. The times he's looked in half decent shape he seems to lose it really quickly after the fight. Saying that muscles don't win fights and it's worked for him so far.

Presumably he’s got some rare mix of slow and fast twitch muscle fibres that works really well over 12 rounds. But I would imagine those rare genetics are atrophying fairly quickly now.
