oscar collazo a bit of a little beast, kinda reminds me of roman gonzo with the compacted educated pressure assaults

Hard to believe how Ryder was losing and getting stopped @ English title level as a small-looking MW and now he's a proper SuperMW contender.
Very strange. :maybe:

Close and competitive - Ryder is right in this - but Mung wins the first on two good 10 sec bursts.

Ryder in deep here.

His face is a mess already. He's gonna get beaten up bad and stopped badly

Far too open.

Ryder in deep, always comes back well with something, but being outclassed a bit.

I think Ryder will be pulled out. He looks beaten. Stupid hands down defence, keeps getting light up.

Needs to throw it all in soon or its over

Certainly is being outclassed. The only hope Ryder has is if Mungia goes too wild and walks onto a shot.

Down twice and towel came in 9th round

I had money on 10th to 12th. Right decision though. Ryder is tough as they come, but he got beat up there

Great fight ! :box:

Mung kept threatening to stop Ryder and Ryder kept clawing his way back in to the fight. Ryder even won 7 and 8 in a row before Mung came back from a rest to finally blast John out of there.

He might well retire..? :maybe:

Just caught this on DAZN replay.

Enjoyable fight. Munguia looks decent.

Another brutal refereeing performance from the US!

Collazo stops Gutierrez in 3 to retain his world strawweight title, Gutierrez came to win tbf, duked it out with Collazo and there wasn't much to split them until the 3rd when Collazo rocked him with a right hook then followed up with about 20 unanswered punched before a left hand finally put him down, he got up on unsteady legs but Collazo waded in , trapped him on the ropes throwing leather when the ref jumped in, bit early if you ask me, Collazo wasn't landing much clean and Gutierrez still had his wits about him

Brave as always from Ryder but never looked in control, don't think Munguia was brilliant but he landed all the telling blows, Ryder down 4 times, down in the 2nd then again in the 4th from a jab, Ryder wasn't hurt more of a balance issue, Munguia was patient and slowly took him apart, Ryder took too many clean shots, the first KD in the 9th was a cracker, clean right hand as was the second KD, Ryder wasn't gonna bail but right call by his corner to stop it, Munguia was coming on strong

comprehensive win for Munguia, very respectful after. Hearn said Ryder is now financially secure. Excellent result, he deserves it.

Munguia on top for the most part with Ryder looking fairly dangerous with his counter hooks.

John still stood a chance until the 6th round when he got hurt but nailed Jamie and then failed to grab the initiative & make the most of the opportunity. Even though Ryder then had a good 7th and 8th round, Munguia lowered the boom in the 9th.

Good win for Munguia who looked fresh & determined.

As for The Gorilla....a hugely respectable career to be proud of :salut:
