Rewatch the Norbert Ekassi fight, then come back and apologise to Mr Nelson. He was a beast and could beat Holyfield, Usyk and another cruiserweight even on the same night. Johnny was a first ballot IBHOF induction, no, wait, let me check.... oh, he's not there.

hahahah actually just watched that fight. To be fair Ekassi was a big puncher!

Nelson was quite young and slender there at 13.8. I thought he was a bit more solid by the time of the Thompson win. 14.4 and more mature. Presumably he wouldn’t have been disgraced against Usyk.

I mean, he'd lose every round and possibly get disqualified for not throwing punches, but apart from that, it's not a disgrace.
