Serhiy Dzinziruk vs Tim Tszyu (154)

Post by EdwardRevolver1993 »

154lbs, 12 rounds.

Dzinziruk was holding the same WBO belt, that Tim Tszyu now holds, for about 5 years. Has notable wins over Daniel Santos and Joel Julio. Missed on some good fights because of problems with German promoter.

Tim Tszyu supposedly enters his prime now and, as we know, is scheduled to fight Keith Thurman come March 30th. We still don't know how exactly good he is, but he already has some notable wins over likes of Tony Harrison and Brian Mendoza.

Could the southpaw technician Dzinziruk tame the unbeaten and young boxer-puncher in Tim Tszyu?

Dzinziruk at his best was a really good boxer. In his prime probably wins a UD over Tszyu. The 35-year-old version that got destroyed by Martinez loses by a late KO to Tim

Yes, very much so. It's cool to see people remembering how good Dzinziruk actually was. I was actually thinking of doing a piece about Dzinziruk, but wasn't able to get in touch with him. Still hoping to do so.
