LHW Draft Thread *draft complete*

Post by Crease »

In an "enthusiasm based choice process" - the Draft will go in order of those who signed up and when they done it.
Draft selections will be exactly 12 hours

Managers are encouraged to send their draft picks to both Commissioners
The Commish's will make their selections and the end of the 2nd draft round:
viewtopic.php?t=261970

The order of the Draft will be as follows:

First Round
1 Techno89 has chosen Archie Moore
2 Gilgamesh has chosen Ezzard Charles
3 NazNaci1 has chosen Gene Tunney
4 P4p1 has chosen Sam Langford
5 Armageto has chosen Tommy Loughran
6 NoScoutingReports has chosen Roy Jones Jr
7 Kevo has chosen Michael Spinks

Second Round
8 Kevo has chosen Tommy Gibbons
9 NoScoutingReports has chosen Bernard Hopkins
10 Armageto has chosen Bob Foster
11 P4p1 has chosen Harry Greb
12 BoxBuzz has chosen Maxie Rosenbloom
13 BoxBuzz has chosen Jimmy Bivins
14 Crease has chosen John Henry Lewis
15 Crease has chosen Billy Conn
16 Naznaci1 has chosen Harold Johnson
17 Gilagamesh has chosen Bob Fitzsimmons
18 Techno89 has chosen Michael Moorer

Note 1: Anymore additions will get the 8th spot
Note 2: This is a snake-style draft so when the second round comes, it starts from the bottom up.

It's a good deep division, so I expect everyone will get two pretty handy fighters.

I don't see any harm on making picks at the end of the first and second rounds honestly, but whatever you guys want to roll with.

Hopefully we get back a few more of our older managers before the season starts up. Been a while!

Have to agree with Geto, on this one. You guys should be in from the first 'bell', so to speak.

Can appreciate the thought process behind that decision but would rather have you guys firing, off the bat, personally.

I have agreed to take my picks on the turnaround. I will choose my two after everyone else has had their first pick.
Looks like crease means to do the same. Draft order is in order of arrival to the game this go round.

Gilgamesh you are up....Tech chose Archie Moore....

NoScoutingReports is up next.
Because of the mix-up in timing for the start of the draft, his 12-hour window should actually be over. But i will split the difference with him and meet him halfway. He has six hours from this minute to make his pick and then we move past him for Kevo's double picks...

I will PM him here.

I honestly think we should give reports a little more time? After all the draft wasn't supposed to start until Monday. I messaged him, but has anyone before now? He'll probably pick who I want within his two picks, but I rather than and spread out some of the upper top talent.

I'll make my pick tomorrow in an attempt to give him as much time as possible.

That was a small oversight on Buzz's part, i don't think that he read the commencement date in the topic title thread.

I have already PM'd him. In fairness, he could have sent me or Buzz a list of his selections in order and we could sanction it for him, but alas he didn't take up the opportunity.... You can bring a horse to water etc...

That is a very noble gesture and most sporting of you. So we'll put the Draft on pause for 24 hours... After which we move on to Mr P4p1

Geto please send me a list of your top 3 picks in order... If NSR does take both his picks, you'll be sure to get your third...
