12 or 15 Rounds Heavyweight Bout
Either Mercer box his well behind his jabs and body punching on the slick southpaw to take a decision or would Byrd outbox Mercer behind his southpaw jabs, moves and counterpunches to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Re: Ray Mercer vs. Chris Byrd
Say, Mercer of the Lewis fight would've most likely overpowered Byrd. He would drop some rounds to Chris, but he would catch with him in the later rounds.
Re: Ray Mercer vs. Chris Byrd
I think Byrd was too skilled, slick, and elusive for Mercer. Chris wins comfortably on points. I can't analyze this in terms of tactics and how the action would unfold, but I'm confident that Byrd wins.
Re: Ray Mercer vs. Chris Byrd
I think Byrd would take this pretty handily. Mercer would do well with guys he could trade with, I don't think Byrd would give him a lot of opportunity to land heavy shots and get much of an offense going.
I suspect Byrd would win like 8 or 9 rounds against Mercer, and therefore the fight.
