Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
I want a Stable War with one of the Co-Commish's this week. Either BoxBuzz or Crease. Or one of each of your guys if'n you're both too scared to get both of your guys beaten on the same week.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
We do like your idea of splitting the responsibility with Buzz, so we'll take Billy Conn vs Bob Fitzsimmons.
we know that Fitzy is a renowned puncher and we can only hope that the match up of styles will be entertaining to our fans.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
John Henry is the perfect gentleman and a clean KO by Mr Hopkins could knock some sense into him, being a gent in the ring is not conducive to his health. Surely Bernard wouldn't duck a man with 2 losses out of two, would he?NoScoutingReports wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 05:24Bernard needs to liven the fcuk up, he’s been easy work for the opening fortnight and NSR Promotions have made it clear this is not an acceptable level of performance from The Executioner!

As you well know Crease, NSR Promotions cannot and will not condone disgusting ducking. As a result, Hopkins will once again step up to the plate and take on John. I can see Bernard being targeted regularly in the future after a quite frankly shambolic start to the season but he, and only he, can turn things around in there. He has been left under no illusions as to the quality of his next opponent (despite a sticky start himself) and improvements need to be made.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
I have to wait on one of the results for week two in order to officially make some matchups, but we are open to offers.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
Event #2 is finalized. Outside of the Lineal fight, I will not post any other Event #3 matches until all matches have been made.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
In a late change of plan, Jimmy will not be getting the chance to exact his revenge this week... Tommy fought twice last week and 3 fights in 2 weeks just wouldn't get medically cleared...
Jimmy is frustrated but understands that there's always next week. And so he will face Jimmy Delaney - the loser will have to change his ring-name to "Jimbo"

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
Betty Boop Promotions are mulling over our options and an announcement should be forth coming in the next day or so...
However, we have been approached by the Legendary, Eddie Futch, to be in our corners as he feels he can get the best out our fantastic fighters and help them reach their undoubted potentials..
We put it to the Commissioners to consider where they can permit Mr Futch to guide these two magnificent specimens, over this season.
Angie 'Baby' wanted in but this is dependant on the Commissioners ruling.
BB Promotions, respectfully, await their decision.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
The Goldenbuzz Galaxy of stars is bored with the local riff raff. Maxie and Jimmy are going on the road to distant lands finding talent superior to the current knockabouts. Our first stop is Argentina where we have found some formidable talent. Fighters far too dangerous and capable for any of the current managers to dare mix it up with. These Argentines are ready to rumble.
Gilgamesh, your invitation is noted, and was seriously considered. But Maxie and Jimmy seek adventure and challenges of a more exotic nature. We'll be taking the next flight out to Buenos Aires.....to give advice and council to Javier Mallet. Then a Cruise back to the U.S. paid for by the OLD Argentine govt slush fund. Which it turns out was quite formidable.
Maxie will face local hero Hugo Garay, And Jimmy Bivins will face the famous Argentine, Victor Galindez.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
That's an interesting notion, you want Futch to be your trainer for both your guys for the rest of the season? We did do something like this many, many seasons ago and I don't particularly have a problem with it. I will have to refer the final decision to my esteemed colleague:NazNaci1 wrote: ↑20 Feb 2024, 20:26However, we have been approached by the Legendary, Eddie Futch, to be in our corners as he feels he can get the best out our fantastic fighters and help them reach their undoubted potentials..

You understand of course, that we can't grant you exclusivity - Mr Futch will retain his contract as an independent boxing trainer to let -
all we can say is that he will be there for your guys when you need him and that due to his keen sense of loyalty - won't directly face your boys...
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
In the case of Buzz's not unexpected duck job, Ezzard Charles will extend an invitation to Armageto's man Tommy Loughran to meet in the ring.
If he too should turn us down. Ezzard Charles will then face Dwight Muhammad Qawi.

Techno, you fancy RJJ v Moorer? If not, RJJ will take on Iran Barkley this week.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 3 MATCHUPS
'Interestingly enough, Betty Boo Promotions has received a very lucrative offer from Europe and is seriously considering these....If there are no suitable offers (which will be considered and responded to, on their merits). We will head to France, where we have a potential double header at the magnificent Parc de Princes', on the cards announced Mr. Stardust is a pleasing, surprising move.
Gene Tunney v Fabrice Tiozzo.
Harold Johnson v Bruno Girard.
He went on to add,'As stated, we are open other more lucrative options and we will consider these. Mr Futch has expressed his desire and excitement to work with his new talents as soon as possible and looks forward to contributing to the fantastic fighters developments, over the coming season'.
