Who would've won back when it was supposed to happen? Postol was Danny's WBC mandatory. They once managed to strike a deal for Danny to fight Peterson at a catchweight with Postol appearing on the undercard in an 8-rounder.
Both won their fights and were on course to fight each other in the second half of 2015, but Danny decided to move up to welterweight for good post-Peterson. Postol ended up fighting Matthysse for a vacant strap.
How do you think Garcia-Postol would've unfolded?

I think, Postol would've presented a difficult style for Danny back then. But he was also somewhat opened to counters. Aydin caught him with a Danny-type left hook in the 1st round of their fight.
Overall, though, I think Postol of 2015 could do a number on DSG. Tall, rangy fighter with good jab and straight right. But, like Herrera and Theophane, Postol could've found himself losing a controversial decision on the scorecards.
