Very good fight. If Pavlik could be focused he would win.
But he had too many personal problems
Slight edge to Jacobs

like kelly here. jacobs would be cuter, but think kelly can put him into a shell where kelly is outworking him and picking up more rounds.

Re: Kelly Pavlik vs Daniel Jacobs (160)
Glad to see contrasting takes on this fight. I appreciate all the opinions.
The way I see it - Pavlik is, perhaps, more accomplished of the two. But Jacobs fared better in big fights (even in a loss).
As far as prediction - I think, I'm with margaret thatcher here. This particular fight might resemble Pavlik-Taylor 2, in some way. Pavlik would be busier. Jacobs would've had more eye-catching moments, but him being overly conservative would led to losing another close and debatable decision.

I think this would've been a good, competitive bout. If both are at their peak I think Pavlik would've knocked out Jacobs around the 8th round. However Pavlik's best was only on display for a very short while. So assuming we got something a little shy of his best. I think it's a close decision that could go either way, and Jacobs' greater discipline probably gets it done for him.
