Has anyone seen the new Netflix documentary on the Ngannou vs Fury fight? It's a good watch. Ngannou is such a dignified, thoughtful guy. Totally unflappable. He is a risky fight for anyone.

Totally surprised me: before the Fury fight I thought he was going to cop a pasting and it would be a one or two round job. Then, I saw him warming up in the changing rooms on fight night and realised he was loads better than he'd lead on and became nervous for Tyson. I still wasn't expecting the fight to play out like it did, though.

My guess is that Joshua will stick and move and keep his hands high; no point trading with Ngannou.

The problem for Joshua i see is that he's going to be extremely cautious in the 1st round. Then he could feel Ngannous power then go back to being gun shy.

Or he could destroy him in 2 rounds

Fury clearly thought it was easy pickings. On the Netflix show he is super excited arriving at the arena. Seemingly not a care in the World. He even said to Ngannou ( during referee's instructions): " time to go to school".

But it turned into a cash grab almost gone horribly wrong. AJ will have more of an idea of what he is up against. It's going to be an exciting watch, I think.

If it had been the other way round, and AJ had picked a gimmie fight against Ngannou last November but it turned into the disaster it did for Fury, would Fury be boxing Ngannou next weekend? I'm not sure he would.

Fury is a very talented chap but I just wish he had the mettle of AJ. That said, who else has the amazing record of beating Chisora not once, not twice, but three times? The stuff of legend.

Fury offered Joshua a shot at his crown in December 2022 and September 2023. Unfortunately Joshua’s mettle was severely lacking to accept the over-generous offers.
