Owen Anderton's second fight up in the first bout. Against a chap who has taken Zach Parker and Idris Virgo to points.

Two match ups on this card immediately catch the eye .

Top of the Bill……. Flatley v Amos and Howarth v Rehman.
I expect both these fights to be extremely competitive.

Credit in particular to Howarth & Rehman who I believe are both VIP prospects.
Both let down earlier in the week when their respective opponents pulled out - rather than drop out of the show they have agreed to get it on with each other. That’s a welcome , refreshing attitude from both the boxers, teams and indeed the promoter.

did not know that, well done both of them. Dave Allen was speaking highly of Howarth.

And just to reassure people, Tori Amos is not fighting Michael Flatley.

Howarth victorious 60-54 over the previously unbeaten Rehman but that doesn’t give a true reflection of a very competitive and interesting fight .
All rounds close - a great match up that deserved a bigger stage .

Hopefully they meet later on in their careers over a longer distance , for a title and with bigger exposure.
This would not have been out of place on a TV undercard . Far Too often we are fed pointless one sided mismatches.
Respect to both boxers , their teams and VIP Promotions! .

Top of the Bill as predicted was well matched and didn’t disappoint.
Referee John Latham scoring a 95-95 points draw between Flatley and Amos . Imo a fair result.
Great effort from both lads who each had their moments and left it all in the ring .
A very enjoyable small hall show . :box:
