vs kacper meyna
https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/877516
never the greatest fighter, but szpilka, washington, arreola, martin all fought for titles and he beat each one of them. now he's being stopped by cusmano and domestic level polish guys. very shot these days

Re: kownacki fought today
Got to be one of the quickest falls from grace I have ever seen.
Kow was overrated… but he was still a fringe contender… now he is getting stopped in a round for the polish title…

Re: kownacki fought today
Kownacki used to have an iron chin and no defence at all, and Helenius losses should have been the last signal to make necessary adjustments.
Adam changed literally nothing. Not only defence, but just basic boxing habits. I have no idea why he was not even trying to either clinch Meyna or take a knee to recover.
The only thing which changed was his chin, no longer as good as it used to be after getting that amount of punishment.
So while he legitimately got into top10 once, there is no way he comes back.

From 20-0 to 20-5 real quick.
After his first defeat he fought (and lost) once a year and is getting stopped by a random ass dude on national level in under a minute.

All over for kownacki.
As for meyna? He's strong but is similarly limited for the top level.

Should’ve retired after the Demirez fight. I remember back in 2018/2019 people wanting him to fight AJ only to be exposed by a over the hill Helenius a year later.

He took a long beating in the helenius rematch, seemed to totally ruin him. Just missed out on major money - that hurts
Re: kownacki fought today
Kownacki always parried every shot with his face, not exactly a recipe for longevity...

Re: kownacki fought today
I think it was the Arreola fight that turned the corner for him. That was a hell of a battle, before that he was beating Charles Martin and Gerald Washington, I kept thinking he was overrated and going to lose, but he beat them and beat Arreola too but the amount of punches thrown in that fight was astounding for a HW bout.
After that I finally conceded "ok I suppose this guy is good, nothing can crack his chin" and then Helenius KOs him. LOL
But Arreola's 1,000 punches set him up for that. Every fight after he got worse, each loss to a lower-status fighter and now this. I had seen that he was fighting in Poland against a no-name and thought, oh well, at least he can milk his fame there for another 10 years beating up scrubs..! GUESS NOT

Meyna Should be Jake Paul's next opponent.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑03 Mar 2024, 10:16 All over for kownacki.

His face even looks quite similar to Paul.
Meyna is a fairly chubby fellow. He's only 6'1-1/2 and throughout his pro boxing career he's weighed between 231-254.
Paul is around the same height, and these days, he'd be able to weigh-in at around 210.
I Really think that This would be an ideal bout/opponent for Jake Paul.
I don't quite know what to make of Kownacki these days.
I think that he's simply gotten comfortable with becoming a Jobber Boxer.
Fair Play if you aspire to be content with Jobber Status, but seriously, Kownacki Needs to learn how to at least "Clinch".
And also, as someone already stated, Take a knee when Needed.

paul is like 5'10, he lies about his height, he was shorter than tommy fury
kasper here is a bigger young guy who can actually fight a bit, but has little name recognition. not really the right combo for paul.

Do you know where he was ranked before the fight? He's the #1 HW in Poland now and #39 overallAngryGoon38 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2024, 08:42Meyna Should be Jake Paul's next opponent.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑03 Mar 2024, 10:16 All over for kownacki.

Re: kownacki fought today
Totally shot. Probably only 1% the fighter that he was before Helenius broke him.
Re: kownacki fought today
Poor fat boy.
Re: kownacki fought today
A huge guy who threw parades of shots while absorbing a lot in the meantime (his round build helped him a lot but also dragged him down heavily), at a time I almost thought he could show up fitter at some huge eliminator... but loss of adjustments killed his carreer, alais

the best chin, to quote Carl Froch of all people, is the one that doesn't get hit

Damaged goods, hope we never see him in a ring again - for his own sake
