I've got Ball ahead 114-112, cracking fight of two halves, Ball aggressive from the off but was chasing shadows and hitting fresh air mostly for first 6 rounds, Vargas kept him at bay with the jab and quality lefts to the body, done really well to get down so low to find the target, that height differential was of Haye/Valuev proportions, looked really good early did Vargas, once Ball gave him jelly legs with a right hand in the 7th the pattern changed, Ball dropped Vargas in the 8th, nothing wrong with it for me, Vargas was holding all night and was down every round just about, Ball well within rights to wrestle him off and caught him with a left to put him down, Ball kept pressing but Vargas was riding most of the punches but getting hustled, Ball had him down again in the 11th with the right, had Ball edging the last but Vargas could've nicked it as well then I can see a draw

113-113 seems right. They’ll redo it in the UK and Ball will be a big favorite

Draw was fair imo..

I saw Varg go 6-0 fairly comfortably, but clearly others didn't. A draw is good for business and nobody gets a loss.

so cards were 8-4, 4-8, 7-5 (vargas-ball) but then throw in the knockdowns.

I had it 6-6 or or ball up 7-5. He was the aggressor, only one that landed a shot that seemed have effect (probably did it in 4 or 5 different rounds), and got the knockdowns. Plus he wasnt diving at the floor like a dipshit.

Bit of a dampener on what should of been an epic comeback.

ball lost the first half for me, arguably another round (i gave vargas the 12th) . draw is fair. thought the first kd call was bogus but 2nd was legit

vargas was negative, but ball was constantly forearming, pushing varg's head back, and wrestling no matter who caused the clinch. both made it ugly

dont wanna see a rematch tbh, although it's warranted by the result

Joe started off with some really gentle matchmaking for the first half of his career. Then for the next half he’s faced just about every hard bastard on the planet.

Could have also been a 113 - 113 but I thought Ball edged it. Whatever

joe parker might have the right combo of power, skill, and toughness to survive the early chinese powah and then exploit the big man's lack of gas. but zz has cracked rock jaws before :bag:
