Quickest knockouts in history
I remember watching Tua starch Ruiz and Moorer in less than 30 secs, any of you remember wipeouts like that?
I think Tua's KO of Ruiz was less than 20 seconds.
Danny Williams TKO'd Meehan in 30 seconds.
Naseem Hamed KO'd Said Lawal in 35 seconds....with the first punch he threw
Nicky Piper KO'd John Ellis in under 15 seconds.
Theres some I've read about but not seen, Al Couture KO Ralph Watson (1946) 11 secs.
I'd say Tyson's KO of Spinks is one of the most impressive and meaningful wipeouts, 91 seconds.
There's prob a few fights that finished in under 7 seconds, I know one for sure but can't remember their names right now, it was about 10 years ago in South America, featherweights I think..

Mr Real-Deal,
you may need to check the exact details, but I remember being very excited around 1998 before European Cruiserweigh title fight between Terry Dunstan & Akexander Gurov (who was a 2-time champ, and won it a couple more times I think). I seem to remember it was a one-punch fight, over in about 13 seconds including the count.
So: Terry Dunstan vs Alexander Gurov is my pick.
best wishes,
"T.M.K"

Browsing through Tysons record I came across Peter McNeeley, he KO'd Frankie Hines in 6 seconds.... but Frankie's record is W17-L120-D5 . Not so impressive afterall. http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=003395
Might it be Al Couture KO Ralph Walton, 1946? On the fight record it says "This is in the record books as the quickest knockout in history at 10.5 seconds"zojo, wrote:There was a fight in Maine back in the first half of the 20th century that lasted 10.5 seconds. The 10 seconds was include in the 10-count by the ref.
If the .5 second is correct, the fighter was already at his opponents corner by the time the bell rang.
Anyone remember the fighters involved?

There were 2 young up&coming fighters off television on a bigger fight card a while ago, one come out to thouch gloves and the other trew a bomb and got a KO within seconds. Unfortuntely I can't remember their names
I don't remember if McCline vs Grant was declared TKO or KO, but that was also very short, Grant broke his ankle right after Jameel trew first punch in the match

It is listed at :12Greenish wrote:There were 2 young up&coming fighters off television on a bigger fight card a while ago, one come out to thouch gloves and the other trew a bomb and got a KO within seconds. James Warring knocked out James Pritchard in twenty four seconds in their IBF cruiserweight title bout. The quickest knockout in a championship fight.
Ken Norton knocked out Duane Bobick in fifty eight seconds.
Hector Comacho knocked out John Montes in forty seconds plus I believe but I don't have the official time. Quite suprising because Montes was a very good fighter who was difficult to knock out.
