Fury v AJ, Who Wins?

Post by Coco »

Seems likely to happen if Fury beats Uysk, I think it's likely if he loses or not!

So who wins?

Obviously since the Usyk fight, AJ has looked revitalised, and is looking like the dangerous puncher of old.

Fury on the other hand dominated an old victim in Chisora, and struggled badly against the MMA guy who AJ destroyed.

Obviously styles make fights and especially on Fury's side there is a feeling he has peaked, is on the slide and doesn't have the appetite for it any more

Fury loses late against Usyk and yes cashes out with an early loss to Joshua. He’s shot to pieces!

I really think it depends on who trains Tyson for that fight , if its his idiot dad or whoever trained him for th Ngambou fight he gets ko'ed badly , if he gets back to what we know he can be like he boxes AJ's ears off .

Aj will stay with Davidson , he will think he has the master plan worked out based on the Nganbou fight , but when you look at it and look closely AJ only done what you should expect him to do , couple of well placed well timed shots against a novice ,, Furys really bad performance against Ngambou , made him seem better than he was , and i reiterate Francis was'nt so good Fury was just terrible , Lets see what happens when AJ has things coming back at him will he shell up again , will Davidson panic AGAIN

I base all that on the fact that when the FN fight was announced i said it was a circus and would'nt be watching and i did'nt , so when they fought i only knew what i had read never actually seen the fight , yesterday i watched some of it and could'nt believe how Fury was making basic mistakes , things i would be telling novice juniours not to do, he done

even an off form fury shoulda dealt with ngannou way more easily than he did, i do wonder more these days if he's on the slide and it's not simply a matter of training hard. he hasnt exactly lived the life between fights and that can catch up. that eye may open up easier now too.

he can completely redeem himself if he beats usyk, but lately it;s been looking worse and worse comparatively for him

Fury vs usyk is a tricky one to call. both probably on the slide.. prime vs prime it would be a hard one to call, but its always trickier to gauge how much people have slipped or if they have slipped at all.

If fury fights AJ late 2024 or in 2025 I may have converted to AJ being favourite (would obviosly depend on how his usyk fight went). I think AJ is back to prime (never left it physically but mentally), but fury and usyk are falling away physically i suspect.

AJ smashes the fat fraud to pieces. But it’s unlikely the fight ever happens for that very reason.

Won't happen because Joshua is too pro establishment.

Fury won't go near AJ, he'll always find some excuse to find a way out. His ego will never allow him to get splatted dramatically by his biggest rival in front of thousands of Brit fans and exposed.
He saw and understood the one trick pony in Wilder and was able to bully and maul the physcally weaker stick legged bloke, but was shocked when Ngannou dominated the similar test of strength. The same would happen against AJ, only the openings left by such a tactic would get pounced on, something the novice boxer in Ngannou never managed to do.
If telegraphed, non jabbing, non combo, one punch Wilder can put Fury on his ass several times then AJ can certainly do the same, but then follow up to finish the job.

Everyone seems to forget it was AJ that avoided that fight. It is all about styles. Fury’s slickness will always be a problem for AJ but maybe less so Usyk. Everyone has also easily forgotten Usyk beat AJ twice without too much difficulty. Always think back to 70s and Ali, Foreman, Frazier and even Norton. None of those fights were predictable. Fury shines when you don’t expect it and looks rough against folks that shouldn’t cause him a bother. Hell, he didn’t look good against Sefari even. AJ looked incredible yesterday. No doubt. But he has had his own dark moments with Ruiz and moreover Usyk. And 40 year old Klitscho had him in a bad way. We should all be talking more about Usyk’s all time greatness frankly.

Joshua will muller Fury, his chin won't stand upto the shots that will inevitably land, because despite Fury being 'slick' he's actually easy to hit these last few years.

right now based on recent performances AJ no doubt .

but maybe Fury beats Usyk in style and things could change in his favour.

Its easy to get seduced by a single performance, but i think Fury does seem to be in decline. He went life or death with Wilder in the 3rd fight, fought a spent chisora, and looked awful against Ngannou. Add in the fact that wilder was easily beaten by parker, and joshua flattened wallin and ngannou with ease, and its easy to see Fury as vastly overrated.

My biggest concern is that Fury gets hit often, and his punch resistance seems to be waning. A few years ago, his style seemed designed to give Joshua fits, but if Ngannou can put him on his arse, Joshua can easily flatten him.

Sadly i dont think Fury will take the fight.

I think he loses to Usyk, and that if its emphatic he will probably call it a day. If he wins, he takes the rematch then calls it quits

It looks like Fury simply didn't take Ngannou seriously, so he still gotta handle Joshua.

Even underestimating him, there were signs Furys reflexes have slipped.

Fury should of been able to handle him easily after being out of the pub after a 24 hour bender

Fury's reflexes have slipped and his legs have gone. This version gets ironed out early against Sir Humbalot

Don't think the fight will happen. Fury win or lose to Usyk and the rematch if that happens will be the end of Fury I think. If he gets whipped big style by Usyk there will be no rematch but retirement, however, if beaten by Usyk and retirement I could see AJ and Fury face off after another couple of years. I very much doubt we will see them in the ring anytime soon. Both over the hill if and when it happens.

In a way I hope Fury gets a good walloping against Usyk and retires. I hate to say it though Tyson Fury is one of those guys who will not disappear from our screens, wouldn't surprise me if he got a pundits job, and is offered a few million here and there to go reality TV, CBB, IACGMOOH. Celebrity SAS, Celebrity Husband Swap, Dancing On Ice, Strictly, it will go on and on until he's found Celebrity Bargain Hunt, and Celebrity Storage Wars.

Fury loses to Usyk, then again in the rematch and then, after a break, gets blasted out early by AJ.
