I'm going to wait and see after the Uysk fight.
Fury looked very slim as he jumped into the ring after the Parker fight.
I don't know if that's from dieting or training or both. But he didn't look like he did leading up to the Ngannou fight, that's for sure.
I agree with other posters that his reflexes seemed a bit shot against Ngannou, that is of concern.
But really, Fury has had the skillset to beat Joshua for years, and it will be either lack of preparation, or physical decline that prevents him from flummoxing the big robot.

I'd still take Fury tbh .
Am I the only one that thought Ngannu was truly awful in there ?
The punches that landed on him were very telegraphed and not that fast .
Having said that I want Joshua to win and it all depends on what Fury shows up .

Not in that camp Sean. I got
Usyk and then Fury cashes out v AJ
may well be the case Si, all my views come with giant disclaimers, self-awareness I do have :)

Ngannou clearly massively flattered by his performance against a likely shot Fury. Tyson being a bit like a late stage James Toney. Still having some moves but zero athleticism to really back them up anymore. To be honest the Ngannou/Joshua fight quite resembled John Hopoate v Oliver McCall. Just easy pickings for the actual boxer!

Realistically the Usyk fight will give us a much better idea of where Fury is at

I think Fury-Ngannou already did that. Some people are starting to give him a pass for that.

I can forgive one bad performance where perhaps he didn't take it seriously, this won't be the case against Uysk

i get fury probably didnt take that fight 100 percent serious, but jeez even then he shoulda done a way better job, a current hw champ getting bust up and almost losing to a debuting non boxer is crazy. fran shouldnt have been able to touch even an unprepared fury, let alone drop him, cut him, and hurt him multiple times for a split deciison result

since then fury been cut again and looked coked up his arse the other night, even had white stuff on his collar. a year ago i thought fury 60-40 but it's really narrowed for me, usyk takes care of himself a lot better

as for aj, he looks refocused and doesnt show any physical decline. it's completely feasible to me that he'd ktfo fury these days.

the good news for fury: despite all the hits to his rep, he can erase pretty much all of it in a fell swoop by beating usyk. it's a lotta pressure, but also a quick path to redemption. im just less sure he does that now. tbh i am more interested in the fight than ever

Ngannou was far too aggressive, but Joshua also fought a smart fight, by keeping room for his long range punches.

Fury will just wear him down and put him away in 6-8 rounds

Yes a lot of blind faith. Granted he’s seemingly lost some weight, but he’s only talking about doing a mini-camp in terms of sparring. 6 or less weeks between the end of March and the fight week. I’d imagine his timing might not be the best. The terrrible Ngannou performance is only 4 months ago.

 I'm just hoping it is training so we get a good fight with Uysk.
With 4 belts on the line, I'm betting the testing is top notch.

Well, the good thing is, we don’t have a fecking Scooby do we really?

This should make for a great fight.

Usyk is has the unquestionable pedigree here. he is by far the better boxer and most consistent of the top three.

Fury v Usyk is absolutely massive for the final phase of AJ’s boxing career.

I can’t see Joshua ever topping his effort in the rematch with Usyk, but I can definitely envisage him beating Fury.

I actually think the opposite, and that testing's ultimately to protect profits. If I worked for an agency and saw how much Fury's arms have popeyed since Christmas, I'd have a random over there stat.

My mind will always land on Usain Bolt, when all but one or two of his peers were busted at one time or another, but unlike Chambers few were genuinely banned. Lots of silent retrospective bans with a note on their records. Tennis and cycling are riddled with PEDs.

Yet Lance Armstrong was outed post-career, essentially. Ben Johnson was a flagship name, but Carl Lewis the more marketable. And Bolt *was* the Olympics for a time, an immense amount of money on his shoulders, including the self-diminished fortunes of testing agencies had they caught him.

So no, for their inherent reliance on the appearance of clean sport I don't trust them. Not to say you can't get caught - obviously you can, but so many cases smack of calculation to me. Be they athletes coming down the hill, or less popular than peers to make examples of with a gentler rock of the boat.

I haven't written him off yet, I think the Fury that beat Whyte will beat Uysk and AJ.
It's possible that the African was a one off, lack of training, styles, attitude etc.
However if he genuinely is shot, he won't beat either of them.
Even if he loses v Uysk, we will be able to see if he is shot or not.

But Whyte had been shot to sh*t for ages. His punch resistance had gone. Fury beating him was a long overdue mandatory obligation, not a pick 'em fight.
