Romanov (aka Yuri Ramanau) was a quality fighter.

He did an absolute job on Bobby Vanzie. He bounced Bobby up & down off the canvas I don't know how many times !

Then again, Graham Earl was outstanding beating Yuri on points. A superb win for Graham :salut:

Not foreign to me, but definitely a shout to the Tuaman.
Truly a wonderful man, probably too nice for the evils of the boxing game, and Kevin 'bloody' Barry.
loved one of him, freakish punching power. And not tall yet could spark people half a foot taller than him. Good am too, medalled at Worlds and Olympics whilst still a teenager. Hope he's doing well now.
He is mate, got his gym where he gives his time to wayward teens teaching and training them, as well as keeping the lights on of course.
Also a good woman with the financial smarts he never had, and of course his faith.

AND STILL...

AN ABSOLUTE BEAST!

In about three years' time, I should have a book on them and a few more globetrotting Ghanaians from 1950s to early 1970s who paved the way for David Poison Kotey and Azumah Nelson. What those guys went through is ridiculous. Will post a bit more about it in a few months.
Make sure you don’t use the phrase, teak tough

Quite right - an awful cliche.

In terms of current fighters, quite like Jose Zepeda. Been in a fair few entertaining fights, particularly v Baranchyk, and has just fallen short of that world title thus far.

That was utter madness wasn't it! I actually quite like the IBO title to be fair. Ezra was a worthy champ

I do too, enough good champs have had it to add legitimacy imo. It looks good too.
