Langford would like to throw his hat into the ring to go against Bivens.BoxBuzz wrote: ↑15 Mar 2024, 20:29 Rosenbloom will face the Music....or the Wayward Wind this week. Since he is not allowed into a squared circle
Bivens...Will take on Carpentier......Unless of course a manager has the Cajones to allow one of their fighters to face him.. And even then he may take on Carpentier. It depends on who steps up. If it's a slacker, we may not be interested.

Greb will take on Tommy Hearns.

Moorer Will Take On Paul Briggs This Week
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
Fitz would accept your challenge, but coming off a loss in Week 8 I don't think I can take a title shot. if the rules are bendable I would, if not I'll just have to win this week, and try to get the shot in Week 10.NazNaci1 wrote: ↑15 Mar 2024, 20:09Appreciate the offer, Geto. Want to test Tunney a little more yet, start to turn up the heat, so to speak after a couple of pretty straightforward wins.......armageto wrote: ↑15 Mar 2024, 14:01 The top 10 won't necessarily work this season. Since we don't have the belt org rankings, where other champs are excluded, there aren't going to be enough options weekly, aside the same guys recycling for title shots. I already have to offer a guy coming off a loss, in a title fight, just for lack of options in the top 10.
As for the IBO, Steve ShuffleShits has said Archie Moore can fight anybody in the top 12 of the soon to be released updated IBO Rankings.
As for IBF champion Tommy Loughran, he offers a title shot to any of the following guys:
BoxBuzz - Maxie Rosenbloom (IF he fights weekly as a champion, should he win)
DrDuke - Eddie Mustafa Muhammad
NazNaci1 - Gene Tunney
Techno89 -Michael Moorer
Foster would like to rematch Julio Gonzalez. Not sure if Gonzalez is set to rematch for the linear belt? If so, he will then take on Otis Griffin.
Gene Tunney will take on the stocky, sturdy ex- Champ, Gus Lesnevich.
'His Badness Himself' Harold Johnson offers a shot at the WBA Title to the only man to defeat him, in a fight he was winning, 'Ruby' Rob Fitzsimmons.
If this offer is declined then the offer and shot goes to John Henry Lewis.
If Fitz needs to win to get back into the Championship mix, he'll get it against Chad Dawson who is coming off a win over Bernard Hopkins in Week 8.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
Ezzard Charles will offer a title shot to Michael Moorer.
Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
You Lie! You and Moore are NOT offering a shot at the title What you are doing is offering him a chance to be Knocked Out, but can't bring yourself to be honest. However Bivens has not been knocked out this season....though he has been defeated more time that I'd like to admit. However he says he can do the man dance for a full 12 rounds.....so we shall see, and we agree to this offer. However will Armageto sanction this fight? He's had it in for the Goldenbuzz Galaxy of stars ever since we hung the moon.Techno89 wrote: ↑16 Mar 2024, 12:59Archie Moore Offers Jimmy Bivins A Shot At The IBO TitleBoxBuzz wrote: ↑15 Mar 2024, 20:29 Rosenbloom will face the Music....or the Wayward Wind this week. Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
Moore is able to defend the IBO against anybody in their rankings this week.
Since he is currently in the top 10, he can defend the belt twice. If he remains in the top 10 after that, he could possibly be stripped as the IBO belt is considered a stepping stone into the top 10 and championship fights

We are no one's stepping stone, however we have stones.....plenty to spare as a matter of fact. So this fight is on.armageto wrote: ↑16 Mar 2024, 15:10 Moore is able to defend the IBO against anybody in their rankings this week.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
I offered a shot to a Top 20 opponent, and didn't get a response. No CPU opponents seem to be ranked 20 so I don't really know what action to take here.
I suppose Ezzard will defend his title against Floyd Patterson for lack of any other reputable names to choose from.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
I believe a champion has the right to make the call if no one is available. Maxie would slap Ezz a new one, but sadly he is out of commision this week. So Ezz is safe...for now..... Floyd is available. I'll run it now.gilgamesh wrote: ↑18 Mar 2024, 13:02 I offered a shot to a Top 20 opponent, and didn't get a response. Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
Crease I'm thinking we can open up the lineal championship only after all the organizations have run at least one mandatory event. AND the choice of which champion will have first refusal will be a luck of the draw event. All names will go into my handy dandy A.I. luck conversion system and a name will be picked. (Really, I"m going to use A.I. to make a Random call.) So since we have mandatories set for as late as week 13 it won't happen before week 14. Depending on what the IBO and WBO choose for mandatories. Yes the IBO champ will be eligible, despite it's sub par ethics and performance history.
The first lineal/organization fight will be chosen by A.I. the week following the last organizational mandatory After that it will simply follow it's own path. With the fighter who owns it always responsible to only himself as to what path to take. Subject to no mandatory other than his own concious. Organizations will simply have to negotiate with rogue managers if they want to follow dishonorable/unethical paths. I
Yeah it could lead to heartbreak and chaos.......but we have plenty of high quality organizations....and if needed by season's end.....there will be a "Champion Emeritus" agreed upon by the IBF, WBA and WBC with or without the lineal/ WBO or IBO blessings. Though we shall strive to seek sensible accord.
The IBO to it's credit seems to be operating in an ethical manner (a public relations ploy by the gangster Armageto? I can't say) and I'm guessing IBO will do all it can to achieve clarity at the end of the season. The WBO, and Lineal status are harder for me to guess as to whether they will choose an honorable path to season's end. As they are only responsible for themselves, and are not required to play nice.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
Follow Up.....
I have an additional Idea.........and I would like feedback. Since the current lineal champions HAVE NO INTEREST in there own future.....I would like to propose that this lineage be opened to the very lowest ranked managed fighters for a period of time.
That period of time would begin on week 11, and this odd lineage would last until the lottery week that I mentioned above. But....and this is a big but. each managed lineal champion would be required to operate as a pool opponent, and have NO SAY in there defense until champion lottery week.
These "cheese champions" would be mandated to face the lowest ranked managed fighter in the following weeks event. This mandate would continue until the lottery event I described above takes place. These fighters would be locked in and agree to this temporary destiny. This unusual set of events would end once an Organizationally recognized champion vies for this honor. At that point it's back to basics.
If this has concensus.....Maura Mina...the highest rated non managed fighter would be facing Joe Knight next week. This places a very high bar on the competition to seek and obtain the lineal title. While giving some folks with bad luck a chance at the brass ring.
Feedback?
If I get a few positive bites, I'll place this in it's own thread for discussion.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 9 MATCHUPS
I like this suggestion and tossing Mina in to the mix will up the ante.
