Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Where does Joe Joyce go now?
After a dismal display last night, where can JJ go now. Surely he's now no threat to the top contenders so domestic silverware seems his only option now.
Any thoughts?

I thought Joyce was awful.
The best he can do is be canon fodder.
Absolute terrible performance

Looks shot to pieces. I predict Wardley beats Frazer and then targets Joyce

He was even slower, the extra weight won't have helped. Parker rematch perhaps?

I didn’t enjoy watching Joyce yesterday. Assuming he is going to fight on, I hope he can secure a payday in Saudi and then get the hell out.

Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
I thought he looks in brilliant condition for his first fight vs Zhang and that it was absolutely stupid to think putting weight on would help.
I reckon if he gets back in that condition there’s hope he can get close to what he once was.

Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
desperately needs a cash-out fight, but not a big enough name to land one, and not good enough to earn one.

Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Get into similar nick to first Zhang fight. Either a cash out fight or domestic title then ride off. Call it what it is and that's a good career
Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
I didn't realise how many belts were on the line against DDD
British
Commonwealth
EBU European
WBO International
WBC Silver
That's actually a pretty nice set as a pro.
If he wanted to retire, he has a pretty sweet Am and Pro career to look back on.
What would his realistic goals be?

Rematch with DDD in Saudi. Lovely fella is Joe Joyce and tough as nails.
He did look terrible against Ali though and it's hard to see him making an impression at the top now given the state of that performance.
I'd love to see him in with Jonathan Fisher, but that's not likely to happen. Reckon the Juggernaut would dish out a protracted shellacking on Fisher

straight to slimming world to get on a feckin diet .
slower than the overnight ferry to zeebrugge .
Cant put him in with anyone in the top 15 maybe even 20 given how easy he was to hit and how slow and deliberate the movement was.

Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
People surprised when Joyce looks bad. He always looks bad till he has plodded people into the ground.
But he has taken a lot of punches, and some biggg ones lately. Retirment isn’t a bad option…
Big fights out there for him though. Joyce use to be scary and probably found getting fights tricky, while I would still recommend people with questionable cardio stay away, he seems more vunerable than ever…
Parker 2 would be tempting for both at some point, but Parker has too much opportunity now.
DDD 2 is probably the best fight available.
Kabayal for the euro would be good
Brittish title would be nice too, I like it vs wardly or fraze.

These fellas can't go on forever.
It appears at times we think 'awwww just get in shape mate and you'll be back to your old self in no time'. It's not that simple for Joyce and at 38 year old his ceiling has already been reached.
On saying that a rematch with Parker looks an option and Warren said as much

Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Actually a fight with Alen Babic might be exiting for a round or 2
Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Stick him in with Whyte, should be a decent three round fight either way.
Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Maybe he could fight Kownacki?
Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Justis Huni vacant commonwealth title. Good fun match up. I don't think Huni's promoters risk him mind you
Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Whyte, Bakole, Dubois 2, Parker 2 are all viable match up's, if he loses emphatically in any of those, time to hang em up.
Re: Where does Joe Joyce go now?
Needs to retire for his own sake, he's 38 and not getting better, he knows his limitations now and has taken a lot of punishment to the head so why fight on ?
