I trained and worked in the corner on the white collar circuit for five years. If you train a lad and he wins "he's" great. If they lose it's because his trainer is crap. You can't win.

Four hours in the gym every night after work is hard going with little or no thanks. The amateurs is the same. Sad to say it but that is the reality.

I will be honest I do this job as being in sport gives me a Buzz I lost after the GB career ended I love Boxing even if sometimes I feel like I’m at war with the world I can relate to guys a bit because I know what it’s like to sacrifice for the dream.

Says it nuts but the sauerlands and other staff treat him really well.

He also works for Wassermans.

With this trip to Nashville he is starting to build an
Impressive CV.

Thanks guys working in Boxing is certainly a unique experience as is running for GB I feel like I’m chasing a buzz from my job I don’t think a 9-5 suits me.

It IS utterly thankless.
Don't get me wrong, I will always love the boxing, but being involved in it, you are dealing with human beings as opposed to reading about them or watching them from afar. There is nothing as strange as human nature.

I had the fortune to hold two full-time positions in boxing for the best part of a decade.

The two things I would say about working in the sport are:

- The characters involved are mad. I've worked in few industries (& the public sector) and nothing has even come close!

- Even if you have a 'desk job' in the sport, you won't be doing 9-5! Boxing is all encompassing and takes over your life. Expect phones calls/emails in the evenings, on your holidays and at Xmas! For the best part I loved it, but it can be hard for a partner to deal with.

I enjoy it as for if the people are nice same as any job some are some aren’t and some are just a waste of time but overall decent experience it runs a lot on respect or reputation if yours is good you have a much easier life than if it’s mud.
