Rozanski Vs Okolie - WBC Bridgerweight title 24th May, Poland
Rozanski Vs Okolie - WBC Bridgerweight title 24th May, Poland
Rozanski has the opportunity to do something really funny. The guy is one of the most unorthodox boxers out there and has KO power. It could be a circus-worthy fight for a circus-worthy division.

Literally what is this nonsense (the fight, not the OP)?

I wonder if fighting abroad will finally see Okolie disqualified in a fight where he has numerous points and many more warnings for his contant holding.

I'm struggling to find a less interesting fight than this.

This "Bridgerweight" BS is just nauseating.
Okolie will go into octopus mode once he tastes the power.

saw this in Boxing News today, if he wins I bet there is a massively overhyped Babic fight.

The WBA super cruiser eliminator was an absolute tear up. I'm not adverse to this
Re: Rozanski Vs Okolie - WBC Bridgerweight title 24th May, Poland
Good fight, Okolie always going to move up…so why not pick up a world title of sorts in the process

probably the easiest title to win as they randomly rank people, no disrespect to Tommy Welch but he said he's ranked in their top 15. Whilst being only ranked number 14 on Boxrec for British HWs.
Re: Rozanski Vs Okolie - WBC Bridgerweight title 24th May, Poland
I guess the wbc are trying to build the weight class and so arent too fussy about who fights for it for now .SeanBrennan wrote: ↑22 Mar 2024, 12:34probably the easiest title to win as they randomly rank people, no disrespect to Tommy Welch but he said he's ranked in their top 15. true. I don't blame any smaller heavies going for it though. I would (if I could box and wasn't 45 pounds over the BW limit) :)stevec@france wrote: ↑22 Mar 2024, 13:26I guess the wbc are trying to build the weight class and so arent too fussy about who fights for it for now .SeanBrennan wrote: ↑22 Mar 2024, 12:34probably the easiest title to win as they randomly rank people, no disrespect to Tommy Welch but he said he's ranked in their top 15. Okolie realiseing he cant box and employs an actual coach rather than just one of his cronies is a step in the right direction but he was with Shane Mcquigan so could this be a bit of a backward step maybe .SeanBrennan wrote: ↑25 Mar 2024, 17:57just seen, did not see that coming. what do you think to that link up?

He was with Sugar Hill after leaving McGuigan. He didn’t want to pay tax in the U.K. though as he was basing himself abroad (Dubai I think) so couldn’t train much in the U.K. so not sure exactly how much time he spent with Sugar who would be spending a good chunk of time training with Tyson Fury.stevec@france wrote: ↑26 Mar 2024, 07:25Okolie realiseing he cant box and employs an actual coach rather than just one of his cronies is a step in the right direction but he was with Shane Mcquigan so could this be a bit of a backward step maybe .SeanBrennan wrote: ↑25 Mar 2024, 17:57just seen, did not see that coming. what do you think to that link up?

When debating boxing especially ex world champions like Okolie, although I have wrote it, I am embarrassed to say someone like him who has reached world title level is a hideous watch.
Do I expect too much?
