I took one unseen to relaxed abs once and couldn't breathe for like 30 seconds. No pain, just couldn't breathe.

Reminds me of the shot that put Darren Barker down as well against Geale. He peeled himself off the floor to win the fight.

To be fair you see the impact of it.

Yea I got smoked in the abs playing rugby and legit thought I was going to die from not getting enough air. Couldn’t get more than a gasp in for a couple mins… so I’m absolutely not saying he should 100% be able to get up… just more that it’s rare to see in boxing.

Dalton Smith, despite some serious pressure by Zepeda, showed why less and way more effective is always better

I have been following since his debut, never was too much exciting but he could place shots like a knife in the butter.

Just googling diaphragms and it sounds like restricted contraction for normal inhalation. Possibly from trauma to the left/right phrenic nerve that runs down either side of the thorax. These yellow nerve endings:

With our ribs in the way I'd expect an upward shot to be required, but bodies can be weird like that with radiating pain. Referred pain's common with teeth. Needs input from a medic!

I just know it's scary waiting for your lungs to come back. You might still get enough oxygen to avoid passing out, but it doesn't feel that way.

A fight between dalton Smith and adam azim has the potential to be the best domestic fight in years. Both of them look unstoppable and deserve a world title fight very soon.

I think Smith will be able to hit him at will and avoid anything coming back. Zepeda does have a chin and Smith is very cut-prone with scar tissue on each eyelid. However I like Smith by 9th rd stoppage. On the undercard Ryan beats down Harper by 8th rd stoppage.

dalty one of those guys who is pretty good in many ways but no real standout 'wow!' ability in a particular area. not some speed demon, or massive hitter, or super slickster. tbf being well rounded can take you far though. he also looked huge vs zepada
