Everything is obviously above board and this has nothing to do with Greb and the WBO being chaired by the same entity.

The WBO would like to offer Gene Tunney a shot at the NABO title against Leroy Brown.
We at GOAT Punch promotions are extremely uncomfortable with this decision, and regret ever getting involved with the shady shysters of the WBO.

Spinks relinquishes his title and will be taking offers from all managers.

Gibbons will take on Julian Letterlough
Kevo, If Max can have the title, with no if's and's or but's, handed to him with no questions asked, on a silver platter we will take it. We would fight for it, but we don't want to hurt you or any of your crew. And since you are walking away from it....we will consider Battlling Maxo the WBO champ during it's vacancy. Someone has to be champ. So instead of relinquishing, perhaps a transfer? You know...like you and your whole crew do all the time when you are riding the bus.
Deal, but only on the proviso that Spinks gets first shot at the title.

We at the WBO want to give a chance to you, the little guys a chance to cement top 15 rankings by fighting in WBO sanctioned fights. It has nothing to do with sanctioning fees or anything like that.

While these titles may not be recognised by the buzz and crease commission they are absolutely recognised by the WBO as a stepping stone to our world championship, which is the highest rated championship in the world.

Kevo, I said explicitly this had nothing to do with being chaired by the same entity.
Greb himself is the second ranked opponent by the independent rankings. Charles himself is coming off a loss and already has agreed to fight Moore. Greb absolutely is the highest ranked available opponent and we implore you to see reason and not take away Mikes chance at having a season defining win.

As for the WBA, IBF and WBC......well our organization will boycott them this week.....sure we were going to challenge the titles. but if we are overtrained....as we must be.....we will fight only the softball competition. Something we are loathe to do, and have never done before....but I'm not sending my overtrained talent into the abyss!
We at the WBO would be happy to do this given the circumstances this week.
On the proviso that Spinks agree to defend against his mandatory next week.

Sorry, Commish Mr Crease....Tunney can't seem to get past CPU opponents at the moment, so wary of sticking him with guys who are doing well.

So with that in mind, Tunney will take the NABO shot vs Brown and I can only hope he doesn't lose that one.

We can offer the WBA title shot to Mr Qawi, as we did offer it out to him, last week, in the event that 'Ruby' Rob passed on it (which he did not).

If Mr Qawi declines, we will give the shot at the title to Mr Conn.

Crease the Grease with the Valise....has directed yours truly to be certain that your fighters have all been overtrained this week. I'm sure there is a good reason for it, and that such an action will set all things right....and the universe will be at peace. sometimes and overtrained fighter is just what is needed!

So to be clear....all of YOUR fighters will arrive overtrained. If not they will be sent back to do some more training UNTIL they are over trained. NO pool opponent will be overtrained. And Ezzard Charles will NOT be overtrained. Believe it or not, back in the 1940's Ezz accidentally overtrained one week. And what happened? You guessed it! The intergalactic boxing commision ordered every other fighter on earth to over train the following week.....just to keep the universe in critical balance. So this is NOT the first time such a thing has happened. I do hope it's the last.

armageto wrote: 22 Mar 2024, 05:12 Shouldn't the Moore vs Charles fight have both men on equal standing? If you are trying to correct a wrong from last week, it would only make sense to have them on an even playing field.

Also, I never heard back from Charles camp if they wanted the IBO belt to defend it a couple of times? If not, I'll make a vacant title fight for it here soon.
Well as I understand the ruling Foster will be overtrained, Bates will not.....so your taking a chance.
And Moore will be overtrained....but Ezz will not. Every managed fighter in the universe will be overtrained. Pool fighters....not so much. Crease the Grease with the Valise....has had his say. It has been well advertised, and I assume all managers have conducted business accordingly. Though I can not recall for the life of me where Rosenbloom agreed to fight Spinks. I'll have to check with myself to see if I authorized that. Hmm Nope. You could call this ass terisk week I supposse. lol

It doesn't make much sense
Either over train every fighter this week or none of them.

Except the Moore/Charles fight. Both guys should come on normal. If Charles wins a close one, Moore can put it on the training. Even then out, let the best man win, and move on from the week 10 incident.

Foster is also taking a chance vs Charlie Z this season, apparently...

Armegeto. Crease made the call. Sim is not always sensible. I truly think of this week as a asterisk to buy peace with onem manager. This was his way to achieve this. I really want to forget about this week altogether, put it behind us and pray nothing like it happens again. consider this bizzaro week. But the train has left the station. I'll hold off putting more fights on the board until everyone has strategized around the odd ruling. My guys are facing bums....UNLESS Bivens is giv en an IBO fight against a managed fighter....in which case they will both be facing each other overtrained...which I consider fair game. Foster blasted his guy OT or not.
