I'd say Whittaker would be looking more stateside, Top Rank would likely be next for him

He's been front and centre in Sky's promotions. Sky did a round table like they did with (among others) The supermiddleweights with Eubank, Calzaghe, Jones and a very bitter Collins. It had Whittaker, Azim and Caroline Dubois and some others, it was clear this was the young group they were really pushing hard.

Whatever Matchroom and Queensbury offer I reckon Sky will more than match.

As it is in the round by round I seem to remember the consensus was the commentary was horrific in Whittaker's favour and Dan Azeez ended up breaking the mould of the company men around him and being the voice of reason?

more likely Boxxer let Azeez get bashed up in a couple of fights or two then feed him to Ben

so i guess sunny wants cheerleading fangirl commentary for home fighters then

amazing that anyone would think poor widdle ben has been hard done by from sky, theyve basically put him on a throne already and licked his arse while at it. does he want them to call him sugar ray ali jones jr too or something?

I don’t think he’s hard done by by Sky but he may have some issue with Shalom.

Apparently he wasn’t happy with his hotel room and Boxxer had to put him somewhere else. He thinks Boxxer organised that random guy to challenge him at the press conference and I listened to a couple of interviews with Shalom post show and he didn’t talk much about Whittaker. Seemed to spend more time complimenting Willings which was a bit weird to me.

I think Ben is still with 258 who I’d imagine aren’t too happy with the Sky Sports/Maz Majeed link (Clarke, Buatsi and Okolie were with 258 but left to be ‘self managed’ by Majeed) so are obviously possibly pushing him to look elsewhere.

I’m still of the opinion that Sky Sports are the best promotional company though and it’d be the wrong move for Whittaker to move on.

Sunny has issues with Boxxer too so it doesn’t surprise me he’s stirring the pot.

Interstingly Hearn said in an interview no too long ago that Whittaker would 100% be fighting for him at some point in the future.

Might have been stirring the pot, but we'll see.

Shalom doesn’t have to be in breach of contract for Whittaker to leave. His contract has to finish and him get a better deal elsewhere.

Offer more money and Ben can get more involved with the Saudi shows and fight in America like he’s expressed interest in previously.

Whittaker likes his ego to be stroked.. he is the star at boxxer where at matchroom he is jiust one of the crowd.

Eddie would stroke his ego just as much as Ben as does. He’d also be mentioning him in every single interview he does. Shalom did next to no interviews for Sky’s first couple of shows of the year but did some for Sunday’s show.

If he is the star at Boxxer then he’d want to make sure he’s paid like the star of their stable. Given the guarantees Boxxer gave when they were singing guys they may not actually have the budget to give a big increase on his initial deal.

Time will tell.

How about signing with Frank and going to Dom ingle, be another Naz history thing - outside of his sons boxing.

would top rank even want him? dont think he's got any support in the us. not sure he's viewed as particularly special outside the uk either. certainly his last showing wasnt the stuff of a cant miss 27 year old

if i recall, top rank doesnt tend to link up with british ffighters until theyre already established. the ones they scoop up early are usually young (like teens or early 20s) mexicans or americans.

Yup.

Although Shalom was saying last week that he’s been having conversations with the NBC executives and they’re desperate to have him on NBC. It was April 1st either. Surely he wouldn’t have been lying?

Until he is fighting at least brittish levle I do not care.

Showboating vs journeymen, going there distance at area levle… honestly I can’t see a huge demand to sign him right now.
