he's been promoted by his dad (who isnt a major promoter) and hasnt been on tv much. his matchmaking has been decent enough, but very under the radar for a guy that talented with a good am background (multiple national titles, won gold internationally)

he was boxing scene's prospect of the year last year. it's good to see him get more coverage now

physically mercado kinda looks like a little joseph parker

berrio negative, but mercado did a good job of mixing it up and breaking him. tko 4, first time berrio stopped, though tbf he usually fights at 135 rather than 140. good defense and timing to evade berrio's occassional swings.

would like a more lively opponent next time though, berrio wasnt offering much and it was a step back after mercado beat nakathila and ndogeni,

That was pathetic from Berrio, it's not hard to see why he'd never been stopped, he doesn't engage apart from the old half hearted jack in the box lunge, Mercado spat out the jab and whipped in hooks to the body and tried to break him down, doubt Mercado thought the job was done after 3 rounds but hey ho, you could tell he was pissed, no idea what's Berrio's excuse is
