Close fight could have it either way but that holding was a joke.

Lem deserves it - for bringing it.

But.., if you allow that holding and "like his style" then you can totally give it to Hitch too. :salut:

Great stuff from both - draw would be fine....

good fight, but the reffing plus the inevitability of hitchens getting a decision mar it a bit

I'm going to stop watching boxing after this. I didn't stay up late to watch a corrupt ref and a boxer who worked hard for this all his life to get robbed.

I mean, I'd be fine with Hitch nicking a close win, but NO judge could give that to Lem ?

117-111 ? UD ?
That's shite.

Yeah.., stinks.
Hitch is good for sure and would come on for a defeat there - but that was Lem's night.

114-114 on my card but it "felt" like Lemos edged it to me.

I’m ok with hitch winning, did the crisper work at times. But I’m not ok with the predictable nature of a-side decisions.

I had it 116-112 Lemos but before id even scored the last round, I could see a 7-5 Hitchins at best but for me Lemos deserved it, took the first 3 rounds on my card, Hitchins was jabbing and moving well enough but got caught against the ropes by big overhand shots that shook him, Hitchins boxed his way back into things by the 7th, nothing fancy but done a better job of nullifying Lemos work and kept away from the ropes, Lemos hurt Hitchins in the 8th and had him pedalling and holding, tbf to Hitchins he's got dawg, takes a shot well and came back firing in the same round, might have even stunned Lemos, Hitchins legs just never looked the same down the stretch, Lemos kept the pressure on , winged in the hooks, whipped the body, even when he wasn't effective in the later rounds he was hustling Hitchins and deserved the win imo, that 117-111 card was an abomination, not to mention Hitchins holding at times, good fight all in all but I feel for Lemos, that one card makes it feel like a robbery

Hitch is poor man’s Haney.

Lemons is poor man’s Cruz.

Makes me want to see Haney vs Cruz.

Good match up, we saw two future world champions there

Rich the hitch won’t want to be facing a tank like Lemos again in a hurry. All that holding was a man completely taken by surprise by the strength of the BULL in front of him. Showed a good chin though, and an impressive will to win, because a pretender would’ve folded with all that pressure.

I’d give Lemos a very good chance of upsetting the champion, he lost on the cards, but looked the more dangerous fighter right now.

and the oddsmakers might be looking for new jobs Monday morning - 8/1 was Hitch.

i would like to see lemos again before saying he's only a poor man's cruz. i have seen him thrice now and he delivered each time. thought he deserved the w last night vs a guy who was barely even touched by previous opponents. make him an a-side fighter in the states, match him well, and he could have had a career like cruz has

wish someone would pick him up. he could be the new fun argentinian after maidana and lucas.

Fair comment. Visually I just don’t think he is as sharp as Cruz. But it’s true he might actualy be as good as I would have had hitch favourite vs Cruz until yesterday.

Regardless I would like to see Cruz vs Haney more than lemons vs Haney..

Furthermore I simply can not see lemons getting a good fight anytime soon. Easy to hit so I guess if you are a puncher you would back yourself to dint him, but yea just awkward not big name Argentinian off a loss, normally is a long road back.
