Im English through and through, but I was born on the Greek side of Cyprus and spent 11 years of my life living there (on and off). Im now a resident of the Turkish side (since 2019) and my Turkish language is coming on nicely too. :TU: :TU:

Yes, I can attest to that, when I wrote Charlie Magris book, there were lots of parts redacted, because of his stories about treatment by various promoters and managers over the years.

What I will say, is he said he was treated far better by Warren than anybody else he ever worked for.
thanks James. Did not know you wrote Charlie's book, fantastic. Looking to order it now! thank you
Hope you enjoy it. Was a real hard job, but really enjoyed sitting with charlie watching his old fights together. Spent 6 months going to his pub 2-3 times a week to interview him, then another 4 months typing it up, and editing. Had a full time job too, by the end i was totally exhausted, just made the deadline for publishing in time for xmas.
Where’s his pub?

Remember we wanted FREE tickets for Lewis v Botha
He said “come on speak up, how many do You want, 100, 200” I cant remember how Many We settled for”.

I also remember you struck a really good friendship with the Klitschko brothers … they loved the ladies…
They gatecrashed a hotel party.

They were the days

Just keep his face off of the dust jacket.

I've enjoyed a few boxing chats with Mick Hennessy over the years. On each occasion I have always been impressed with his knowledge, friendliness & attitude, plus he's put on some terrific shows.

I've not heard a bad word about him. I hope he stays in the sport and gets TV or pairs with someone with TV.

I wonder how his relationship is with Froch now? I think Mick cared about his fighters but didn't have the money and resources of the big guns. A shame as he put on some good cards. I wonder what his day job is?

Mick & Carl were really close friends and to add
Robert McCracken to that Team Froch were I felt a
a very tight team.

Froch was extremely clever with money and
Invested very well .

I am told the fall out was money.

At the time although I like Carl a lot, for Mick to take
Frochy all the way to world title level to then
See Fast Car dancing around the ring making out he was Frochys best mate must be hard to
Take.

You're an absolute danger, this was never funny and no way acceptable. Certainly something I'd never mention in public again, weird.
