Zelf is finding this easy, but losing rounds.

Gill pulls it back to 4-3.

Yep, hard to score and "what you like" - I prefer Barret's skilz, but Gill is showing the judges he wants it... :maybe:

Fair stoppage. He was gonna get hurt there.

Didn't have enough pop on his shots. Took some big shots and showed some balls

Barrett needs to up his output at World level

Great effort from Gill but ultimately he still looked a weight class below and none of his punches seemed to have any effect on Barrett.
Good fight though .

I thought Zelf was winning with skillz, but a lot preferred Gill's desire. :maybe:

Barratt has a touch of Howard Eastman about him. So talented but stays in a low gear for too long. Needs to fix that to succeed at world level

Didn't like the stoppage tbh, close fight up until the knockdowns in the 10th but they were body shot KDs, Gill wasn't taking big head shots, even the right hand that landed when the ref stepped in wasn't huge, good fight all in all though, Gill pressed and threw but struggled with his range and timing first half of the fight, Barrett looked sharper, moved better, quicker bursts, uppercuts worked well and Gill just couldn't make a dent but he did finally start to close the gap as Barrett coasted, some will shown by Gill to even things up, i had Barrett 5-4 up going into the 10th, Zelfa turned it on its head when he put Gill down with a left downstairs, Gill brave as ever got up and was pouring it on pretty successfully when another to the solur plexus had him down again, Barrett kept the heat on, landed a right to the head when ref stopped it, not the worst intervention but not a stoppage for me, the writing might have been on the wall but Gill hadn't took a pounding to the head so deserved to keep going imo

Yep. Seems like a nice lad too but he really lacks power and technically isn’t good enough to comprehensively outbox guys. Will struggle at British title level I think.

All three had Zelfa up at the time of the stoppage, pretty sure Gray and Foster had him up by five which is a bit off ...

A really weird card.

The English title opener and the main were v.good competitive fights.

The Flynn fight wasn’t too bad but was more of a prelim fight and whilst I don’t mind women’s boxing too much, it doesn’t make sense to have 2 back-to-back. Especially when it’s predictable they’ll go 10 rounds each.

After the finished I thought, right a fairly early main event. Then they put an uncompetitive float on!

Real strange one.

But the float had to go somewhere, didn't it. Would you have preferred it as a walk out? :maybe:
