i Don't know the guy , but i get the impresion it would take more than a few arguments on a forum to keep him away seems like a fairly recilient and thick skinned kind of guy , think he's a definete can give it and can take it sort of guy .

Unlike others who left Mickey being one , he could quite easilly attack others but cry when he got it back

Mickey? Soft as shit. No loss.

Spud? Similar.

When he is attacking young lads it's just 'banter'.

When he gets some blowback, its suddenly "internet bullying".

As most know - the internet forums is where anyone can be anything.
I like to think most of us, as in real life, keep it real. But like the occasional people we at times come across - there can be those who have an altered reality of themselves and their worth.

At such times it's best to just ignore if it's not having a negative impact on ourselves. I assume we all good people here - and whilst we can at times enjoys a bit of banter - I don't think any of us wish bad on others.

*Ps. Mickey had his own unique style of banter, often only the type he was aware of and found amusing. But I never doubted he too was a good guy. I expect he posts under a different name or hope he returns at some stage.

At the risk of sounding like a liberal bleeding heart (I am from Brighton!) can’t we all just be a bit nicer to each other? Particularly given Spud’s health.

I know he can rub people up the wrong way (and I admit don’t know anything about the video mentioned above) but aren’t we all a bit older and wiser now?

really like this post, and nothing wrong with being liberal mate. Here's to lots more posting and debate. Hope everyone is well and got through Monday.

and I like Brighton, my nephew moved there last year as his partner's a police officer there. I have extra woke points as he's a full time drag performer there! He's bloody good at it too.

Absolutely. The only thing we should ever get personal about is you all not thinking Audley will one day win the HW title. Haters...

Some proper clowns on this thread.

Spud - I reckon you should just go for it, but put your violin away. No point reaching out to anoraks on here for inspiration - they’re the opposite of you and have seldom got their hands dirty in boxing, and yet many have been content to mock you. There’s a difference between publishing an article on a boxing website to producing a biography.

Gianluca - the ultimate fraud who can’t even get his own house in order to challenge the BBBofC. Head honcho for a bum organisation who employs Ian John Lewis, and yet stages less than 4 shows a year and generates more revenue flogging first aid courses.

55364 numbers whatever - witty yet spineless, no balls and can’t even post as himself. Bitter and jealous with a longstanding axe to grind.

Thanks and close the thread.

I don't think Gianluca is the bloke who runs BIBA, I think he posts here as LucaDiCaro (or similar)
LOL.

Lightsoot's been on the babycham again.

That's gold!

Reminds me of my uncle. I was just a kid making a catty with my cousin at their house. His old man was just in from the the pit and at the table waiting for his snap. When my aunt set it down in front of him, it was NOT to his liking and he flung it plate and all into the fireplace, effing and blinding. He had no sympathy for tiredness peaks in women.

Clearly not, he sounds like a brute.
Yeah, even for the mid 1960's in Maltby that was a bit beyond the pale.

Spud better not steal that story for his book.

they should have called it Lucozaids.

Athough that would not have aged well.

I think we should talk about retro drinks, far less arguments.

People's thoughts on Orangina? Classic or just orange juice for nobheads? Discuss.

And Appletiser - refreshing addition to fruit based juice or pseudo-classy soft drink for recovering alcoholics?

can we just leave Spud alone, it sounds like whatever did or did not happen it was ages ago. He loves boxing, is not well and we can all discuss better things. Just a humble plea from me.
