Re: Willie Limond
That is a very sad piece of news. Always came over well and had a lovely style to watch. May he Rest in Peace. My condolences to his family and friends
Re: Willie Limond
Puts it all into perspective, remember his fight with a comebacking Morales. It almost felt that tv executives were reading the forum as that had no tv for ages… then premier sports picked it up.
I really thought and hoped he would ride off in the sunset for a long and happy life after the Burns fight

Yeh I remember that, he gave Morales some trouble early before Erik got on top, Morales used Limond regularly for sparring afterwardsstujones wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 07:27 Puts it all into perspective, remember his fight with a comebacking Morales. Re: Willie Limond
Terrible - only 45, I wonder if there will be an autopsy? Can't help but wonder whether this was caused by his recent fights.
Re: Willie Limond

Re: Willie Limond
Tragic news. Willie was a fantastic boxer. He came up against some tough opposition domestically vs Arthur and Khan. He’s one of those fighters deserved more success than he achieved. To fight on the same card as his son was a big deal for him. Huge loss for Scottish boxing and boxing in general. RIP.
