In the post-fight press conference Garcia is claiming he went out drinking every night in the build-up, and is still going on about his conspiracy theories about kids. De La Hoya was grabbing his shoulder, trying to make him stop talking about the boozing.

Garcia also claimed Tank won't beat Martin, and even if he did, Garcia is moving up to 147 because he can't make 140 anymore. DLH says the only way Tank and Garcia fight is at a catchweight - 145/144 because "Ryan is the face of boxing now! He calls the shots." Garcia coming out with all kinds of excuses for losing the Tank fight, claiming he should have died making weight but god saved him.

Conference ends with Garcia shouting: "Yeah Timothy Bradley, suck my dick!"

But would also love Ryan vs :

-loma
-shakur

-Josh Taylor
-matais
-Cruz (one I would dodge for Garcia stylistically)
-progras
-Benn
-Crawford
-spence
-boots
-barrios
-Rocha
-top 5 at 154…

Some are too small, some are too big, some are just right, but I think there is a catchweight/weight for a trillion fun fights over then next few years if he dosent go completly mental.
I'd add Vergil Ortiz to that list too, if he stays healthy. he's fighting next week at 154.

Garcia back in social media mode then.
Worth reminding ourselves of one of his more recent lucid comments ..
“This is why people need to stop believing everything on the internet and stop living in a false reality,” Garcia said. “At the end of the day there’s a lot of real shit going on. And the last thing you should worry about is a kid acting crazy on the internet.”

“I put my reputation on the line and had everyone thinking I was crazy. At the end of the day, who’s the crazy one now?”

Ref helped a robbery by the sounds of it.
shoulda taken a point off haney for holding in the first kd round, but to say garcia was robbed is a reach. garcia had no problem hurting haney, if haney was that out of it he woulda been stopped. he came back and won the next round
Seen bits and pieces now. Point of Haney probably due for holding . Point of Ryan was probably harsh (I don’t hate it just the no warning point is rare), 5 consecutive shots to the back probably could have been a point off, 1 or 2 knockdowns probably could have been called that weren’t.

But wasn’t anything crazy that saved dev been stopped.. . Like a 12 second count with a 25 second concussion check which you see now and then…

Didn’t care about points robbery. I needed the KO so was concerned with a ref saving him with those irritating time outs.

I had him considered as a top 5 154 in my head. But yes him too.

Just caught the highlights. Fair play Ryan Garcia! Looked like a great fight too.

I think I want to see Haney Vs Tank more than ever now. Ryan can face Lopez or Stevenson.

DIEGO MORILLA: GARCIA TKO 10

“As hard as it is to see a path for Garcia to win this, I believe he sees something in Haney that we don’t. Knowing him as he does from his amateur days, Garcia has all but begged for this fight, and there may be a reason for that. Haney always finds a way to win, but his dominance in the ring sometimes leads him to become overconfident, and all it could take for Garcia to win this is a single error from Haney. It may take time, but I am betting on that GPS-guided left hook to land sometime during the championship rounds to put Garcia in the superstardom realm that has eluded him so far.”
Wasn’t a stoppage, but he’s the only one that thought Garcia would do it.

Garcia edging overrated Haney made people crazy. Top welters and super welters will toy with him. Same thing happened with Broner.

Garcia is just all wrong for Haney.

Haney has shown less than top level chin and pop for his entire career. His chin is not horrible, but it leaves him little to 0 margin for error at the top level, especially v boxers with high level power. Haney’s lack of pop makes his margin for error even closer to 0 because he is not able to give top level comp, especially as he has moved up, enough reason to pause. Part of the reason for that is that Haney also does not land what pop he has clean and crisp enough.

Haney is still young. He has great skill. He can still develop and remain a factor, if he stays focused and he is managed wisely. That chin is not likely to improve, though.

Garcia is like watching a train wreck in realtime: Violent, earsplitting, incongruous, seemingly in slow motion and unreal.

I think Haney would get stopped the first time Tank lands flush. Garcia has very decent power, Tank has more.

WAR Garcia

KingRy proved me wrong big time.
I thought this would be an EASY win for Haney and Garcia would quit after 7 or 8 rounds.

I had the fight scored 112-112 but imo the ref missed two legit knockdowns in the 7th so I feel like Garcia deserved the win plus it's always good to see a fighter win despite bad calls going against him.

I'm going to leave a KingRy prediction right here:

That utterly disgusting " shoulder roll" he has used in his last two fights?
Better described as straight up turning his back on the opponent.
As bad as it was yesterday.....it was actually better than his last fight.
I say he will keep working on that shoulder roll and when he is 32-33 years old we will be talking about his "great" shoulder roll and laughing about how bad it was when he first started using it.

I had it 112-112. Doesn’t really matter now. Devin showed he’s not overly bright and Garcia has great power. Looking at the future it’s now all about weight. The top dogs at 154 will be too much for Garcia and he doesn’t want to make 140. If he wants to make 147, then fight one of the top blokes at 147, make weight and see how ya go.

Kinda glad Garcia won but it was basically a welterweight against a junior welterweight so not a fair fight. I can't even understand why they let the matches go on when a fighter misses weight...

Not a fair fight? Haney and his team avoided Davis and Stevenson (maybe everybody scared of losing 0)and picked Garcia fight, because he is after tough loss and obsiously mentally not okay. His team thought he is good money and low risk option. Cherry picking goes wrong and protected boy got exposed. I am definitely not a Garcia fan but i love this
