Cherry pickong goes wrong

Post by Cent0089 »

If you considering Garcia - Haney as upset, this guy was 50:1 underdog last night. Funny thing is it was not just some lucky punch, he put a solid beating on undefeated prospect, former football player. Plus this Scoby guy posted idiotic comments like: "if he dies, he dies". "Signing contract was suicide, in the ring, it will be homicide". considering tragic ring deaths in recent years, upset is more satysfying. :box: :box: :box:

That's some really classless comments, there.

Linger really came for a brawl. Looked like he was fighting in a pub carpark! Entertaining highlights.

"Dakota Linger" has a reminiscence to the late "Jesse James Hughes".

Dakota is an unusually deceptively capable and awkward spoiler type journeyman, who is obviously also a very tough gritty brawler, just like Hughes was.

Same height and weight-division that Hughes was as well.

DK should take on Rolly Romero..!!! :box:

FYI Linger shocked the shit out of Mayweather signed Josue Vargas last year at MSG on the eve of the Puerto Rican day parade. He was brought in to get slaughtered and kicked the christ out of Vargas- to his credit - remained upright and was ducking and dodging - giving the ref, the highly regarded (Rhon Liipton- the misspelling is done on purpose because it auto corrects to "ALan Sugar" for some reason ????)every reason to let the fight continue, however as frequently happens those without a clear view and further from the action second guess every move made my a more qualified individual and an inspector or two mounted the ring apron in grandstand fashion to stop the bout (some say it was to grandstand for career advancement- but that's some real inside info and for another topic)....

Anyway, Linger is West Virginia guy, they really dont have the amateur backgrounds these touted prospects have, have little access to high level sparring, but they are reminiscent of the 2000s flock Eastern Europeans - physically strong and twice as tough and can take a beating while applying pressure....

Good for Dakota.

They sure did. Scoby was getting the crap kicked out of him from the 3rd round on, but they kept making comments like "Scoby is moving better now". Sounded genuinely surprised when punch stats had Linger well ahead in every department.

Good fight and fair play to the victor. Looked pretty relentless.
