I also noticed that the fighters end up landing about a third of the punches they throw. Wonder how that compares to reality.......Though there are some very sharp shooters like Tunney who land at a higher clip.

I honestly hadn't realised that Langford had reeled off that many consecutive wins before his loss against Knight.

Thanks for the info Buzz. Some interesting reading.

Hmm did Langford's winning streak parallel his KO streak? I notice 8 is the magic number on both.

Found it interesting that, although, not generally considered one of the bigger punchers, Greb has been scoring a lot of KO's. i suppose, when you combine power with volume, even in the SIM, it equates to KO's. Very interesting.

Would venture that for accuracy, it would be likes of Moore, Loughran, Tunney, Charles & Rosebloom /Gibbons.

Thank you, Buzz.

Greb did have power in the real world, but typically would wear opponents down for his KO's and TKO's. He Beat Rosenbloom at his own game (if you can believe the media reports from the Era....as Maxie was often taunting of the press and would provoke them with his comedic antics....and although Greb did win the fight....it may not have been the willful beatdown that some reporters turned in. though there is no doubt he floored Maxie in a later round).....And Tunney...(a darling of the press) May not have beaten Greb in quite the drubbing that was reported for similar "fake news" reasons. And of course at different points in time they traded wins and losses over one another as I understand it.

I trust cameras...(though with A.I. that period may be coming to an end) but reporters are human....and we have bias's....and such bias is as human, and as funny, and as entertaining as it is dangerous). Maxies Cardio, speed and cleverness made him successful.....very good at avoiding incoming....Greb had a lot of that, and a bit more firepower.

Greb always makes for an interesting read. Interesting fighter, during one of the most interesting times in boxing history.

Greb was certainly not the knockout artist this season is making him out to be though. Maybe that's Greb in a nutshell. The Myth is bigger than the reality. Even in the Sim.
