As things stand, we have two fights that need immediate rematches to settle who goes through...

And we still need BoxBuzz to publish the Week 18 rankings to decide which 2 out of 3 fighters proceed through to the Round of 16.

Question.....with the immediate rematches, do we still record the original draws, or simply log the rematch results (should there be a clear winner). Technically, these fighters, would have had an extra bout on their records ie week 19, they will have had 20 fights, if you catch my drift.

Just wanted to know.

I believe you, but as I said in my PM, I don't understand. Is the "round of 16" referring to the event #16....or the whittling down to the last 16 fighters? The latter I hope.

However once I am clear on what two fights need immediate rematches.....they will fight a 3 round fight in this case to lessen the effect of their wins on the overall points...which if an additional full 10 round fight was added would likely skew things a bit more then needed. I hope that's a compromise that people can understand and accept. Doin' my best here. lol.

I'll go through the list to see if I can discern on my own just which fights need these 3 additional rounds. If I find them, and I'm sure I have it right....I'll run them soon. As for the points....I'll attempt to get to those posted soon as well, but they will reflect up to the moment points. And that process is rather labor intensive....but I'm aiming in that direction right now.

Also if you just need to know what fighter has more points than another....that would be a bit less labor intensive for me. I'm sure there is an easier way to get this data over to a post...but for now it's secretarial reading, and typing. And during the MDT, it seemed less of a priority.

Yeah, it's maybe my fault that I didn't explain it very well. Can you please post the current pts rating for the following fighters:
Ezzard Charles,
Tommy Gibbons,
John Henry Lewis.

The 16 guys who made it through the groups hence - "Round of 16", then the Quarters after.

It's really up to you. As a Manager, I would.

In this season of experimental events.....pertaining to the MDT...I would call it a single event. You could put an asterisk, and say 3 additional rounds required to sort the draw". But for this season draws that required clarity will be considered a single fight....using the 3 rounder extension to determine a winner. This will also be exclusive the MDT. You know...if real boxing forced fighters to fight an additional round it might make for some interesting drama. Has there ever been a draw that peopel were happy about? lol I did attempt to get ahead of this by sorting out the draw issue early. However I also own some of the confusion. If some fighters are allowed to "fight addtional fights" e.g. MDT draws...outside of the event weeks.....said fighters would have a very distinct advantage in the current point accumulation process. I sought to cut this baby in half, to prevent that. I'll give it more thought for future MDT activity.

Perhaps in the future we do the MDT group stages as 10-12 round fights and all MDT elimination fights as 15 rounds to lessen the chance of draws?

Next season....fighters ratings at the weight class will be revealed before the draft. Some fighters who were very good...but this not being their best weight are being pummeled. lol

If champs can't meet each other, why was the Foster/Charles fight 12 rounds?

Half Champs could... But I don't think Buzz realised that it was for the full WBC title.

I think this is an excellent suggestion.
Without buying the game there is no way to find out online what the fighters are rated at.

There is a logical answer to this....I think. But I'll have to review this carefully to come up with it. Know this....I does may best to turn in excelllence...and when's I fail, I look to others to blame. Se we'll see how this turns out. But there are two halves of one title floating about. And they will be united...or have been united at some point. I would not consider that issue a "unification" as it represents one sanctioning body only. And it was happenstance that allowed for the problem to resolve. And if I'm right, your guy lost....and the title is now happilyl restored unto itself. With one or two mandatories still to be tended to. Unless of course I made an error....and if so, I will throw myself into the nearest rehab program...and come out right as rain!
