kind of but haney keeps his belt and may learn to be a bit more humble
He definitely keeping it? I remember some one saying it's vacant, but since, many saying he can keep it..

The WBC have confirmed he’s keeping it. Seemed to be some confusion about it though as Eddie was telling everyone it was now vacant.
thanks for confirming

They are usually made vacant in this situation. Just depends how much money you make for them, I suppose...

Well keeping the belt is fair . After all Garcia didnt make weight so it was catchweight regards humbli g him itmight for anout five minuites then he.ll still claim to be undeafeted at his weight and it will be true fornow anyway

They agreed on 140. Then Garcia missed weight and they agreed on 143.2 being ok (with financial alterations to the contract I assume)

It was agreed… so eh, but I do think if a boxer misses weight there should be zero pressure on the other fighter to continue and take the fight.

For fighters a promoter suspects might miss weight the promoter should have a cancellation fee if it’s canceled due to the fighter missing weight.

Had Haney not cut the last 3 lb would he have got dropped? Mabey not, Haney pushes weight pretty hard, so 3 lb is massive and really effects your chin. But he agreed to it, so it’s on him.

I mean technically Haney hasn't lost to a fighter at 140 pounds has he, so I can understand him keeping the belt in this situation. Bad night for him regardless.

I'm taking a wild guess here but I'm guessing he doesn't employ a blue chip PR agency to prepare his public statements. Oh well what does it matter, he makes everyone tons of money, 6 month ban incoming.

I prefer his approach to the anodyne bullshit double speak that normally gets put out tbh.
