154lbs, 12 rounds.
After regaining the WBC title from Sergio Mora in late 2008, Forrest was ordered to defend the belt against his mandatory (and WBC Interim titlist) Sergio Martinez.
The fight was scheduled to take place several times, but never materialized. It was believed, that Forrest wasn't too keen to take this fight at the time. He was looking for a bigger name. Martinez fought likes of Cintron instead.
A little later, as we know, Forrest was tragically killed.
Who would've won, had they faced each other?

Re: Vernon Forrest vs Sergio Martinez (154)
I think Martinez would either stop Forrest late in a competitive fight or win a decision after dropping him once or twice.
They're pretty evenly matched in terms of skill. I feel like Martinez is more explosive, and had quicker hands, and that would give him the edge in the fight.

Matinez was unorthodox, good reflexes and power. I'd pick him to take a close, UD.
