If Benavidez catches Canelo as often and as clean as Munguia did it won't end well for him and Canelo obviously knows this so sadly the fight that everyone wants won't happen

Alvarez has said he'll only go up to LHW for Bivol so it sounds like Benavidez fight is unlikely. It is amazing to think he's in his early 30s and been a pro nearly 20 years. Some family too, his 6 siblings all fought as pro boxers.

The list of names on his record is incredible. I don't think he has anything left to prove, so we'd better enjoy his remaining fights.

I watched that fight and really enjoyed watching it yesterday , it was like watching Canelo in slow motion , , over the years i've really enjoyed watching Canelo , admiring just about every thing about him from his chin to his power , his footwork distancing , to feints , and subtle little things he does to set up ,

But the last few years i've got to admit my perception of him started to change , mainly because of his lack of fighting others until there old and past the use by date , all the little things he' has done and does to gain that advantage , it sort of ruined his legacy for me , but when you look at it, thats boxing he's done nothing others have not done Mayweather bein the King of it , however that does'nt take away from the list of who's who he has fought , and certainly does'nt take away from the skills he has always shown us .

Course like every one else i now want to see him box Benavidez, because it would be a good fight , but in all honesty at his age now , the slowing down he's obviously doing , going up in weight you can only do so much off all says , to me if i'm honest , STAY AWAY FROM HIM .

I think Canelo has proven his mettle and does'nt need to be the old guy just past his use by date , he will not win this one , don't think he'd get stopped but i do think he would take a lot of punishment and possibly get damaged in the process , nope retire , spend and enjoy the money , thats my take on what he should do

I believe he has a bit more left in him and he's still elite level albeit on the decline. He is still beating young opposition fairly comfortably. Just going to enjoy what's left and think we are in still for some more great fights.

The amount of very good previously unbeaten opponents he's beaten is incredible in this day and age

Watched this twice now, solid win from a very dangerous opponent, dropped him and won well. And gracious in victory.
