This is a decent fight. although i have to admitt in a very unpurist way, i get a bit bored watching 2 highish levle, small guys fight unless im emotionaly invested in one or both, or its an absolute war.

just a stedy class fight is watchble, but dosent excite me.

116-111 Inoue for me and one judge - other 2 118-109.

Inoue KD in the first, but fairly comfortable after that.
Ishida nicked a few rounds with his length and sheer effort, but Inoue won more and won them more clearly.

Yeah watchable, but lacked drama after R1. Top 2 should be more exciting... :box:

at 118 Japan have 6 of the top 10.... all 26-28 years old.

would love to see a world boxing super series type thing but just japan based and the prize is "a x million dollar fight with Naoya inoue"

I mean, i would love to see it for the concept. small japanese boxing i have struggled to be interested by, but theres just so many top lil japanese guys in one division i feel somthing needs to happen..

very interested in this next fight. takei far more explosive than maloney, but absolutely nowhere close to the boxing experience, esp down the stretch

did no one tell takei how ridiculous that outfit looks btw

Not much happens R1, but what did was just about Takei.

10-9 Tak.

Very silly of jason to go to tokyo with a toprank show next week in aus. brave, but stupid. probably has to win 8 rounds tonight, probably would have to win 4 rounds to win in aus.... cant give that advantage away for no reason.

hard to see how molony wins this. only way i see is relentless forward pressure but he is going to take a beating doing it.... but that could grind him down mabey (never watched this guy).

keep pressing, hopefully takei with his inexperience over rounds tires, those body shots get sloppy and he gets dq'd

takei looking goo so far though, 4-0-1

59-54 Moloney can't pull the trigger, looking old and in danger of getting stopped...

moloney had some momentts that round, but also looked stung a few times. takei hasnt put him down or really seriously staggered him, but it's obvious he feels his power

better from moloney. letting his hands go a bit more. walking him down a bit... better but still only making the rounds evenish. not taking the fight back by force or anything.

thought moloney rocked him start of that round but coms hardly mentioned it....

Moloney is back in it doing what moloney does best. grinding.

bit shades of joyce. not particularly rapid (not joyce slow but also not 280lb), not particularly light out puncher, but dosent let you rest...
