A decent stoppage for Cooney against a man known for his durability. Boone later made his way to the UK and outpointed Neville Meade in a 10-rounder at the Albert Hall. Meade had smashed his way to the British heavyweight title but failed to budge the American and was hurt late in the fight. To be honest, it was a terrible match by the Cartel.

It's incredible to think that Leonard actually handpicked Norris as a beatable opponent.

wow. Nice to see Leroy Boone mentioned. He fought quick Tillis in 83 here in Chicago. I was on the undercard. Leroy had no one with him to my knowledge. After I fought , my trainer Tony Fritz, worked his corner. It went ten rounds. Leroy was never in any trouble but he took a lot of shots. Felt kinda bad for the guy showing up with no crew. Maybe he had a cut man I don’t remember.

Watched hagler vs cyclone Hart recently. Seemed to have a bit of an odd ending. Hagler in control most of the way but Hart had his moments. You can tell this guy had power. Loaded up on his shots
